Another obama lie

I never said otherwise. The point is that it's understandable why he would make that slip, since he was raised by his grandfather and not his real father.

You must be suffering quite a bit then, as Obama screws up so rarely that the Right has to fall back on slips of the tongue he made in the LAST campaign. And this despite the fact that he has been in front of the cameras constantly for the last four years.

when a candidate blatently lies about his backgroud it says something about his character, morals, and ethics. Thats the issue here, Adam.
 
Personally I think people are just making stuff up to defend him. His history is and always has been make **** up to sound like he fits in, whether its this story about his 'father' (do we have some other incidents where he mistakenly calls white grampa daddy?) or his uncle freeing people at Auschwitz, or mommy and daddy meeting due to the famed Kennedy freedom flights, or mommy and daddy meeting and going to rut while marching in Selma.

expecting a candidate for the most powerful job in the world to tell us the truth about his background is not asking him to be perfect, just to be honest.

obama's problem seems to be that the truth is not consistent with his stories about his past.

Okay, fair enough. Let's talk about that little "rare" screw up when he lied to the UN 6 times about the attack in Libya being caused by a video.

He's been in front of the cameras "constantly" for the last 4 years? The same guy who hasn't given a press conference in 7 months?

the problem is that we don't really know who he is. his history is a novel that he and his mentors have created. any time it is challenged, it falls apart.

but thats OK, just go fill your tank up with $4/gal gas and return to your obama shrine for your daily prayers to your messiah.

No, there are no other incidents where he mistakenly refers to his grandpa as "father". But don't try to tell his defenders on here that.

When the radical right wing resorts to nonsense like this to try and destroy the President, it says something about their character, their morals, and their ethics. That is the issue here.

It was a little public gaffe. Want me to cite Romney's closed door comments? I bet you were up in arms about those too; I mean, when a politician makes a mistake, it ruins his qualifications. Right? :rofl

what Romney said in a closed session was somewhat damaging to him, the truth sometimes is. If you want to start a thread about Romney's 47% comment, have at it, but I think that issue is already dead.

All it serves to do is point out your hilarious double standard. Obama makes a gaffe, you're up in arms. Romney says something awful, you find it "somewhat damaging". :2wave:
