BBC poll: Rest of world favours Obama

Yes, I guess racist remarks are hillarious in your neck of the woods.

You are literally the only person to even mention race into this thread. And now you are playing the race card.

Seriously, you can't make this **** up. I have no idea how to talk to someone who makes a racist comment and then decides someone else is responsible for his own racist comment.

Deuce, SB - stop! I'm gonna pee!!

Maybe they prefer Obama because he actually knows that Iran is not a landlocked country.

and what will the far righties say about this:

The world likes Obama because he's weak.

Nah we like him because he's better for the world in general.

I think appealing to international support, or approval, is a rather weak endorsement for a candidate. Also, I think the charges that Obama has been proven to be a weak executive are not totally unfounded

Including Chavez, Putin and the Castros. I wonder why?

Your forgot "I'm a dinner jacket."

Honestly, it really isn't that tough. But many folks can't see much when their heads are buried in the dark place. The rest of the world gets what the righties can't stomach.

It is rather sweet.

They love a weak president who goes around the world apologgizing to the Arab and Muslim world? That won't happen under President Romney.
Show me one time that Obama apologized to the Arab world other than the two times when we should have apologized for US troops actions? Those two times were when Obama apologized for the accidental burning of Korans by US troops and when a hand full of US troops wrongly urinated on dead Muslims.

No amount of evidence will influence a conservative. These are the same people who fight against their own interests thinking it will help them, lol.

This bothers me for one reason. Why would we care what they think? This is our country. It is our responsibility to positively govern it. We are going to elect in our favor.

One of the roles of President is that of chief diplomat. While it shouldn't necessarily be the deciding factor in how you vote, a President’s ability to work diplomatically with other nations is an important thing.

Why would any European country prefer Romney over Obama? Are these results really surprising?

Europe and the rest that is influenced by it are mostly far left and or socialist, etc.

America is unique, and I prefer to keep that uniqueness. The less like Europe we are... the better.

Of course our leader needs to work with the rest of the world. But they don't get to choose who they work with.

Its called "Projection" and conservatives have mastered it..

with both candidates being so closely aligned in foreign policy,I wonder what drives the poll numbers?

But he did say terrorist attack, but...

No "you people" are scary.
My God... You people are just amazing.

He never said the word, therefore his actions couldn't have represented such a thing... And what's scary is, you people really believe such dishonest tripe.

ENOUGH!!! You do not have to say the words " I am sorry" or "we are sorry" for it to be an apology. You can be APOLOGETIC in your tone and the choice of words.

Secondly, they were not dead MUSLIMS to the Warriors who were fighting a war for this country. They were dead TERRORIST, they were the enemy. People who were trying to do harm to them and their brothers in arms. Unless you have been in their place and felt the fear and the adreniline (sp?) rush that combat can bring, stop throwing them under the bus.

It's difficult for me to understand how a fellow Hoosier and someone who shows the EGA as their standard can think the way you do.

But he did say terrorist attack, but...

I can think any way I want to, this is still free country, for a while. This silly comment pisses me off, I will talk more about it when I get home from the Y. What branch of the service were you in? Not tht even that makes any differnece but I have found of late many of the whacky war hawk conservatives were never in the service. And many of us old prior service guys are much more liberal. and just who the hell gives you the right to decide who is a good American? Damn.

Conceding that our ME policy choices haven't always been brilliant is simply acknowledging reality. It does not equal apologizing. It's just the adult thing to do. Stupidly pretending that we are incapable of error does not make us stronger.

He did not apologize to anyone. Repeat the same lie often enough...

I don't usually like getting involved with the election threads, but I feel compelled to say that Obama DOES seem to like to say how America is "arrogant." That IS being an apologist. Gotta say, I'm not too fond of that.

He was referring to the previous administration's arrogant attitude toward Europe. Acknowledging reality -- not a weakness.

Your correct that it is a free country. Much blood has been shed in order to make it and keep it so.

I am not a "Hawk", been there done that, got the tee-shirt (ribbons) to prove it. I think it is funny that if an individual does not want to see the defense budget screwed with the are atomaticlly a "hawk" (whacky or otherwise). I served during the Reagan/Bush/Clinton/Bush years and I can remember the difference. During the "Slick Willy" years our pay suffered, our deployments increased and our numbers dwindelled. During those years we went from over 300,000 active Marines to less than 150,000, however our deployment rotations remained the same. I suppose it's a good thing that I enjoyed Med Floats, my wife and children didn't really like it though.

I never questioned you being a "Good American". I have questioned your logic train. I know very few "old prior service guys" who have a liberal/progressive lean. Actually I cannot thnk of any who would vote for our current President.

FYI, I was born and raised in Southern Indiana and served 20 years in the USMC.

Semper Fi Warrior!!

The policy differences are trivial between Obama and Romney

US elections have plunged into a farsical pre determined ceremony of choosing between two corporate puppet clowns.
