Tell Me Why I Shouldn't Vote For Jill Stein

She can't win and any vote for a woman is a wasted vote. The end result is a vote for that candidate you dislike.

Why should I NOT vote for Jill Stein?

if you like her, you absolutely should.

i like what i see in her platform, but many of the planks have zero chance of going anywhere, and i don't see the specifics in her plan to pay for all of it.

Her platform is basically the UN charter of human rights from what I can tell.

I think she goes a bit far to the left for my tastes, but she does bring up several good points and needed reforms I think.

I've never seen any candidate offer specifics on how things will be paid for.
Why hold her responsible for things the rest aren't held responsible for?

Her energy planks would undermine her job planks IMO.

Her policies are impractical and unsustainable on a grander scale.

Issues - Jill Stein for President <-- clicky

Answers that will be ignored are things like:

1) it's a wasted vote
2) she can't win
3) it's a vote for _____________
4) she's a woman

Since it is only a protest vote, why aren't you instead writing in your own name?

All I hear from her is new entitlement after new entitlement.

I literally know nothing about her, except that when I did the quiz that fits a candidate to your views she scored 95% to Obama's 94%. Obama can win and Ms. Stein can't.

Many of the things she proposes are unrealistic and/or could undermine the economy in general and/or show that she is particularly ignorant on economics in general.

because i just got the impression that because the party has no chance of winning, they felt more free to promise the moon and stars with very little risk of having to explain how they would do it. don't get me wrong; i agree with most of the platform, but it would take many decades to implement even half of it. as for paying for it, the amount of taxes required would be absolutely crushing. i'm for raising taxes at least back to the 1990s levels, but not to confiscatory rates.

I honestly had not heard of her until I took one of those tests that supposedly tells you which candidate is closer to my beliefs. She is the one the site suggested was closest. I will have to look her up.

You, and everyone else, should stop worrying about whether or not a candidate can or cannot win. Everyone in this country should be educating themselves on more than just two candidates and voting for the person they believe would be best to run this country. A wasted vote is when you vote for idiotic reasons like party, race, or for any of the 4 things you listed above.

I think I just decided who to vote for. Thanks.

And how does that differ from any current candidate running, and/or any present/past POTUS we've had for the last decade or more?

I wouldn't vote for her because the Green Party is too leftist and populist for me. You do what you want, however.

Couldn't agree with this more. She has good motivations, but her platform is delusional both practically and substantively. If you want to use your vote to send a message against the main candidates, do it by writing in, not by voting for a candidate even more off her rocker (although perhaps more honest about it) than they are.
