During the Bush Years criticism over the Patriot Act was high. And for good reason. There was little-to-no debate in Congress before it was voted on. It gave law enforcement unprecedented powers. But now we have something that is arguably much worse: The 2012 NDAA. If Bush signed a bill that allowed the detention of Americans without access to a lawyer there would have been immediate calls for his impeachment. Where is the criticism from the Left over this one? Are we so entrenched in party politics that we will scream over one president signing a law that violates the Constitution but ignore it when another president does the same exact thing?

So I want the so-called "Progressives"/"Liberals" to give one good reason why Obama should get a pass on this one.
