If I'm going to vote for one of the two parties, it would be Barack Obama. Despite the fact that I disagree fervently with both parties on separate issues, I just might break down and vote for the president. The simple reason is because of trust. When all is said and done, I believe Obama (despite his failings) is more genuine and sincere.

There's something about Mitt Romney that reminds me strongly of Richard Nixon.

I trust obama

I trust him when he claims he will jack my taxes up

I trusted him when he said he wanted to re instate the clinton gun ban

I trusted him when he said he wants judges like Ruth Bader Ginsburg

I trusted him when he told SEIU hooligans that he will give them more of our wealth

So, you, a Libertarian, will not be voting for your party's candidate, Gary Johnson?

And voting for Obama... quite a misnomer there... Most people in this forum calling themselves "libertarian" are Republicans too embarrassed to say they are Republicans after the George W. Bush debacle but are nonetheless die-hard party line voters for the GOP.

How can you possibly trust him? He has failed to keep those promises.

I trust him when he claims he will jack my taxes up - He has failed to jack your taxes. He cut them slightly instead.

I trusted him when he said he wanted to re instate the clinton gun ban - He hasn't kept his word on this either

I trusted him when he said he wants judges like Ruth Bader Ginsburg - He did keep his word on this and indeed Ms. Ginsburg has been appointed. As a consequence we have a nearly balanced SCOTUS which is the safest situation for all of us. How would you like to have 8 copies of Clarence Thomas on the SCOTUS?

I trusted him when he told SEIU hooligans that he will give them more of our wealth - I don't know too much about hooligan fees. Did he keep his word? Did he give our wealth to SEIU hooligans or was that just more falsehood? I'm sure he gave plenty to his campaign contributors but I don't know wether SEIU had enough invested to be rewarded.

Obama taxcare jacks my taxes up even if he doesn't impose all the other crap he wants

His first USSC justice voted against gun rights. I realize this is a stereotype but his second, a liberal jewish lesbian who worked for Harvard is not exactly someone I'd pick as an NRA supporter

Well, except Nixon was highly intelligent, if totally paranoid and amoral. Romney appears rather dull witted and intellectually incurious. I suspect that if his father wasn't a millionaire, Romney would be a midlevel manager at a fastfood restaurant corporation.

I really liked Gary's campaign and was originally going to vote for him. However, I now live in a swing state and my vote (first time in my life) might actually make a different (the extent of which is unknown).

Plus, I'm a little worried that Johnson ran his libertarian campaign to try and pay off debt from his republican campaign. Makes me a little uncomfortable. Third party candidates have a lot more credibility in a multi-party system, but there's nothing to guarantee they are any more trustworthy in a two-party system.

Due to my geezerhood, I don't know much about Obamacare. I assume you already have medical insurance, right? So, how does this affect you personally? Real question.

this pretty much brands your entire premise as moronic. Romney is dull witted? LOL might be the dumbest comment on this board in a week

who gets taxed to pay for Obamacare?

So, will you now consider yourself to be a Democrat?

Yeah, you can't get away with making anti-semitic and homophobic comments just because you preface them with an acknowledgement that you are about to make anti-semitic and homophobic comments. That's not how it works. It's the equivalent of someone who says "I'm not racist, but...[insert incredibly racist statement here]."

Yeah, your silly preface that you know you're about to say something anti-semitic and homophobic doesn't make it any better. It's the equivalent of someone who says "I'm not racist, but...[insert incredibly racist statement here]."

How is it anti-semitic or homophobic? Is she a liberal? Is she Jewish? Is she a Lesbian?

So, will you now consider yourself to be a Democrat?

No more than you, a libertarian. A vote to a candidate does not dictate my entire philosophical and/or ideological belief set.

Acknowledging that you're about to say something anti-semitic doesn't make it any more acceptable. It's the equivalent of someone who says "I'm not racist, but...[insert incredibly racist statement here]."

its not anti semitic to note that Jews tend to be against gun rights. all you have to do is visit the site JEWS for the preservation of firearms rights (or something like that) they noted that most of the anti gun groups have strong jewish membership numbers and the most anti gun senators include most of the Jewish ones

(Feinstein, Boxer, Schumer, late senator MEtzenbaum, Lieberman, etc)

its no different than saying a devout Roman Catholic or Evangelical justice is probably going to be more hostile to abortion rights than an agnostic or a reformed jew or an episcopalian

Yes, yes, and not to my knowledge. Her religion or (perceived) sexual orientation have nothing to do with her views on guns, and that's a retarded reason to criticize Obama on gun rights.

Please see "2016: Obama's America" before you jump off this cliff. It is now available on DVD or instant Netflix. Trust in Obama is an illusion. He is a great orator and has been carefully hiding his real agenda.

Umm no it's not, because in the case of those devout Catholics or Evangelicals, their religion actually has something to say about abortion rights. There is no such link between Judaism and views on gun rights; this is basically the equivalent of criticizing the president for appointing a Latina to the Supreme Court if you don't like immigration. It's idiotic and racist.

Though it's nice to find out that you're an anti-semite and a homophobe, in addition to being a sociopath. I can't say I'm that surprised.

Perhaps, but have you ever encountered a liberal Jewish lesbian hunting or at the range?

Rather than violate the rules and make stupid insults, how about disproving my statement

You don't think a butch would be packing heat?

none-but having dealt with most of the anti gun organizations its not anti semitic to note that they have a huge percentage of Jewish members. and to claim I am anti semitic or a sociopath is nothing more than the sign of someone who cannot rationally rebut my posts

You don't think a butch would be packing heat?

I have taught many lesbians how to shoot and that is a good point. I don't recall asking any of them their religion though. But when you throw in Kagan's background of being an Ivy league academic that sort of seals the deal

I am sure there are IDF lesbians and they are trained with guns.
