CNN defends Candy Crowley

well the guy was wrong-we do have a fascist federal government now:mrgreen:

Your gets the prize for second funniest post of the day. ;):mrgreen:

Only the wild over the top hyperbole cost you the gold.

Why does the losing team always blame the refs?

Well tbh... Green Bay did definitely have a valid case for blaming the refs this year.

trust me Haymarket, it is we who are laughing

In the end, it did Romney a favor. It forced CNN and others to discuss Benhazi in much greater detail, which they were trying to avoid prior.

She ended up as the fat liberal cow moderator who tried to help Obama...but couldn't.

Just wanted to capture this sexist, weightist moment in amber. Never mind the "liberal" or "moderator," you called this woman a "fat cow"...as if her weight or gender are relevant. Your weightist/gender-slip is showing.

It's so easy detecting the age of a poster without even asking isn't it?

Weightist isn't a word. It's rude to make fun of somebody's weight but let's not make this a civil rights issue for the overweight, please, that is absurd and cheapens real civil rights issues.

Like abortion perhaps?

emotion works its wonders on both sides

the enslavement of women argument is one I heard a lot when I worked at PP. if you believe that abortion terminates an innocent human life then you can make a fact based argument that abortion does end innocent life. I support abortion rights for several reasons including the religious angle has no impact on me and putting women in prison would not advance the interests of a just society and finally, unwanted children are massive sources of many pathologies infecting our society

Agreed. It's just that the abortion as a political issue seems to be the main one with emotion that is up to a level that includes shootings to support it. That's some serious emotion.

Like fear the brown people?

I think racism is not limited to one party. but its the dems that support the institutionalized racism of affirmative action. some on the right blame blacks and other "brown skinned people" for crime and welfare, many rich liberals pretend blacks aren't able to achieve or succeed without government favoritism. Both are silly in most cases.

but is that the best comeback you can come up with

I wasn't refering to racism in America. I was referring to foreign brown people in other hemispheres.
