In his ongoing struggle to put lipstick (and figures that actually add up) on his tax plan, Romney has recently taken to citing a 2006 study from the Joint Committee on Taxation, which he claims demonstrates "how a Romney-style tax plan can work."
So how does this Romney-style tax plan work? It repeals nearly ALL middle class deductions, including those for children, mortgages, and employer contributions to health care. The plan would redistribute wealth from the middle class to the rich, and it would only increase employment by 1-2 million jobs over four years, as opposed to the seven million Romney has claimed.

Of course Romney has also claimed that he wouldn't eliminate the largest middle class deductions (mortgage interest and health insurance), so the study doesn't actually support his claims at all.
