Michelle Obama... CLASSLESS...

Perhaps no response at all would be more appropriate to dismissive hyperbole.
Nah, this type of absurd hackery deserves to be mocked; ignoring it or taking it seriously both have the effect of legitimizing it.

No you have it backwards.. she was disrespectful to Mitt Romney...and obviously has no respect for the rules...that tells me a lot about who she is.. and Im not impressed with her..

You can take the ho out of the ghetto------------------but you can't take the ghetto out of the ho.

Now, for your libs. Yes, that is disrespectful, but respect has to be earned, neither barry nor michelle has earned any respect.

And you don't have respect for her so we can just call it even and move on.

But you truly know it doesn't matter - it really doesn't . . . are you deciding your vote and support based on the actions of their spouses? LOL - that's just sad.

This is the kind of debate that passes around here?

just making a point, zorro. Respect has to be earned. We can respect the office and give it due courtesies, but respecting the person must be earned by the person.

sometimes its necessary to use crude language in order for you on the left to understand.

It was my understanding that they were not allowed to directly ask a question to each other - Mr Romney broke the rules very early in the 'debate'.

A topic about as pointlessly stupid as the Ryan washing dishes one.

I need to watch the debate again. but to my memory it was Obama who started the chirping and cutting off of Mitt..

not really... The first lady should be facile on ettiquete and the rules..

what the heck does that have to do with Ryan?

I need to go back and check, but I believe Romney was the first to ask the other a direct question where as Obama was the first to directly interrupt the other candidate speaking.

whats to respect about her? tell me?... "for the frist time in my adult life I am proud of my country..- Michelle Obama."..

these Obamas are ego maniacs make the Clintons look better.. nah thats impossible.. they both are horrid disgraces...

I thiknk you are right....I think Mitt was confused by being cut off by Obama as that was his time to talk on the frist question as Obama had had his time... and I think rather then match that rudeness he started to talk diretly to Obama and when he parsed the words in a question, Obama took it as it was his time to talk which it wasnt..

I don't know if I'd say classless. She was happy that Candy helped correct a Romney misunderstanding. Maybe broke the rules, not classless though.

nah...thats claessless... sorry... shes the first lady... dignity is really her only job...

so back to the OP... I find it classless that Michelle Obama who must know the rules feels they can be broken by her? thats a terrible example of how the first lady should act.. shows her distdain for the other side.. so now we have Biden, Obama and Micehlle all go LOW BROW...

what a disgrace

She committed a faux pas. Not her first, and I'm assuming that you have been horrified by how gauche some of her sartorial choices have been. Sleeveless, good heavens, to meet the Queen. Oh, and she touched her too. Such a breach of protocol. So were you outraged? I know I was. So she clapped for her husband when she shouldn't have? Oh, she was naughty!

More seriously, surely you have far more important concerns than this pettiness. Are you surprised that someone of the opposite coin instantly attacked Laura Bush?

And about Laura Bush I have something to say: Unlike Hillary Clinton or the any other First Lady who preceded her, she was actually an independent woman with an advanced degree and never rode her daddy's or husband's coattails.

So - you just don't like her and are looking for every tiny thing to revoice your views.

Sort of reminds me of my kids. . . especially my 8 year old.

I'd say throwing a former president under the bus is classless. Especially if he was the same party as you.

Ya know, when one of the top stories on a political forum is that the first lady clapped inappropriately... how good a job is Obama doing? If this is your best / only? criticism you can come up with... to hate and disrespect the first lady. This is pathetic.

Not really... Your shilling for Obama is obvious..

The issue here is she got caught on tape.. let them eat cake..

I can't stand that horseface debutant, but the topic of this thread is a moot point. Who cares if she clapped.

Now....the (allegedly non-partisan) moderator jumping in on Obama's side (and then afterwards, said Romney was right all along), or those PLANTS in the audience....now THAT was a travesty.

People can deem clapping as classless, but I personally reserve that term for racist scumbags.

I imagine a buck tooth guy wearing a rainbow propeller hat behind your keyboard.

what a disgrace

So whats the implication here though, whether i agree or disagree with you here isn't my issue. Lets say i do agree with the statement and she was out of line. What should now happen, should Obama be removed from consideration of presidency. Or should she perhaps not be able to attend the next debate. I don't mean to put words in your mouth if i am doing so, i just want to know what the consequences should be for her actions. Whether right or wrong what she did wouldn't seem to matter as much unless some sort of action was being given because of it.
