Does Romney believe that he could "give (Jeremy) a job" just by being President?

Because that's how liberals view the Presidency: as a jobs dispenser.

I don't know about that, but we could use a job dispenser. Too bad we don't have one.

He could hire the kid to mow his lawn now that he had to get rid of the illegal immigrants that were doing it before.

That's not how the government works.

I'm quite certain they don't expect Obama to work the hiring process... but rather, create the environmnent that in itself will provide employment opportunity. And ofc, politicians take the credit.

The problem lies when politicians take credit for things they haven't done or have done wrong... and turn them into right things and good things. Such as what happened then.

Why not? Obama thought being elected President would solve the Muslim problem.

That was one of the moments in the debate of Romney's that I gringed at. It came off as pure pandering, came off awkward in how he did it, and was worded horribly

Well you should. He was trying to run to Obama's Left.

Many people serve at the pleasure of the President, Romney could very easily appoint him a position. He "could" give him a job. Heck he can do that without being elected.

and a prime example (counter example?) of the showmanship taking priority over substance in our elections these days.
