Huh, I wonder how much of this is blowback from the Obama campaigns attempts to paint Romney as an evil bloodsucking corporate villain being discredited?

Mitt Romney leads President Obama by five percentage points among likely voters in the nation's top battlegrounds, a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll finds, and he has growing enthusiasm among women to thank.

As the presidential campaign heads into its final weeks, the survey of voters in 12 crucial swing states finds female voters much more engaged in the election and increasingly concerned about the deficit and debt issues that favor Romney. ..."In every poll, we've seen a major surge among women in favorability for Romney" since his strong performance in the first debate, veteran Democratic pollster Celinda Lake says. They are somewhat encouraging results, but I really hate those broad swing state polls. I agree with what Nate Silver said about them: "Looking at breakouts of "swing states" from national polls is just dumb when there are dozens of actual swing state polls out every week." Too many definitions of swing states and when you are taking only a few hundred voters out of a national poll, and even less when you narrow it down by demographic, you end up with a huge margin of error.

Looks like that Sandra Fux-a-lot Fluke thing didn't work out.
