I found this interesting and unsure how I feel about it. To my knowledge, they are not supposed to have notes.

What are your thoughts?

Looked like a handkerchief to me...Many say he was suffering from allergies, or a cold or something...
 
I'd say it's clearly a piece of paper, and he cheated. OTOH, there's only so much advantage you can gain from what's written on a half-size piece of paper. Probably bullet points of things he wanted to bring up, or maybe the famous zinger list.
 
I thought this had already been debunked - at least according to what I read on yahoo news a bit ago. It was a handkerchief. Later in teh debate he was rubbing his forehead with it, again, at least according to what i read.
 
Imagine how bad he would have beat Obama's ass if he really did have notes. LOL

Not really, I had not read that it was debunked.

However, would it change your mind if it were a piece of paper?

This seems to be a common theme with the left. George Bush won the debate, they accuse him of using an ear piece. Romney wins the debate, they accuse him of cheating. Bush wins the election, they accuse him of stealing it. Anytime a republican wins something, there has to be a reason outside of the obvious.

Anyway, this isn't the story I originally read, but it seems to do Ok too.

I didn't hear any zingers, but I'm pretty sure I heard Obama's ass getting spanked really, really, really hard.

The handkerchief in question had notes written on it... in invisible ink.... the evidence of which was destroyed by the perspiration from Romney's brow. Ingenious!!

Case closed. Romney cheated. The facts speak for themselves.:2bow:
 
Both Ryan and Romney had notes and I believe Biden may have.

I saw Romney writing down stuff and crossing off stuff all through the debates as was Ryan. Whats the big deal. They are talking about complex issues and concepts. I real debate (at least the ones I've been in) allow notes. Its just not reasonable not to.

Video showing the portion you posted vauge, and another part of it showing where Romney uses a hankee that looks arguably similar to what he pulled out of his pocket to wipe at his nose.



Each person can make the decision for themselves, but I think it's far from clear. Then again, I expect nothing less than that kind of ridiculous, hyperpartisan, completely biased, and intellectually dishonest pronouncement from some folks based on their history. For the rest of us, I think it's fair to say that it could absolutely go either direction, and thus it comes down to whether or not to assume that the candidate was attempting to cheat on a national stage in front of multiple cameras or if he was trying to have something to wipe his face with at the ready.
 
I doubt Romney cheated. Although, he could have embroidered notes on his hanky. :lol:

They are allowed to take notes during the debate. They are not allowed to bring them in. But I agree it is a stupid rule.
