When it comes to job creation who do you think will do a better job of it and why based on what they have presented as their plans going forward?

If possible please form your responses something similar to this

X plan is Y and it will work because of Z. Or X plan is Y and it will not work because of Z.

I don't think either will succeed at creating jobs.

I think both will take credit for whatever economic growth happens on their watch, and both will find a way to fob off responsibility if there isn't enough growth.

President Obama in a nutshell:

Innovation--Create the jobs of tomorrow here at home. Promote US goods here and abroad, removing trade barriers, expanding credit.
Tax Reform--Spending cuts and tax increases to reduce the deficit.
Infrastructure--A new fund to attract private dollars and issue loans on construction projects.
Energy--Invest in clean energy.
Education--Lead the world in college graduates by 2020. 100,000 more teachers. Better pay to attract better ones,
Healthcare--Expanding healthcare access for less money.

Issues - An economy built to last — Barack Obama

Mitt Romney in a nutshell:

Tax Reform--Fairer, flatter, simpler.
Regulation--Cutting the red tape.
Trade--Leveling the playing field for American manufacturers at home and abroad.
Labor--Promote right-to-work; employee access to relevant facts when deciding to unionize; private ballotting
A 21st Century Workforce--Dismantle sprawling network for Federal bureaucracies and fund states to create jobs programs.
Federal Spending--Cap spending at 20% of GDP; return nonsecurity spending to 2008 levels; Repeal Obamacare; privatize Amtrak; Reduce subsidies for the arts; Eliminate Title X Family Planning Funding; Reduce foreign aid. Block grants to states etc,

Jobs and Economic Growth | Mitt Romney for President

I do not like Obama's track record for investing in clean energy. I want a Manhatten Project funded, in part, by the Federal government, under the umbrella of a successful company (like GE, as an example). Funding not only from the government but also from corporate partners.

As for Obama's lowering healthcare costs? While I personally support Obamacare (or some form of national healthcare), the idea that it's going to lower costs is just flat out wrong.

Obama's plan for 100,000 more teachers. What? How will such a plan be implemented? What we need are schools that work. Are more teachers the answer? I'd rather see the Federal government butt out.

I think Romney's plan is more specific. I'm pretty much in agreement with it.

We are discussing this in the office today and I have never heard this sufficiently explained. It would seem to me making it more expensive to do business here by increasing taxes, mandating health insurance and making it easier for frequent lawsuits make it more and more difficult for a company to stay here. Can someone explain to me please how making it more difficult and more expensive to do business here and employ our citizens creates jobs in a market where price is king?

No one is proposing to raise business taxes. Obama proposes to eliminate the top Bush tax cuts, which would affect about 3% of "small" businesses that use pass-through taxation. Unfortunately we are in a position where we have to raise more revenue and reduce spending. If we don't it will eventually crush the economy, which isn't so hot for job creation. Since we have to raise more revenue, it makes sense to look to higher income earners as studies show that those tax hikes have less impact on growth than tax hikes on the poor and middle class.

mandating health insurance

Sick workers aren't productive workers. Aside from that, ACA contains some provisions that are good for small businesses and sole proprieters and some that aren't. For example: Health care reform: good for business - Baltimore Sun

But overall, health care reform is about helping people. Job creation is important, but it isn't everything.

Not sure what you're referring to there.

That is what the lawyers would call a leading question.

Obama has already created more jobs than Bush did in 8 years. Job creation under Republican administrations in general is poor, and Romney will be no different.

You arent a lawyer, and it is not a leading question. I prefer that you answer it if you are going to reply.

I'm not on board 100% but you presented very well.

you are not, it is not, and you did not. gee look how mature this conversation went. I am done. I'll try again with intelligent posters.

I am an attorney -- which I can prove -- and it was a leading question, and I did in fact answer your questions, which you have completely ignored. I've got too many anti-brownie points to comment on your intelligence remark.
