This thread will be stickied to discuss the vice presidential debate. Paul Ryan and Joe Biden will be squaring off soon enough.

I prefer the more violent option, the debate.
 
i'm looking forward to see how they both do. it's an unusually interesting VP debate since it's now on Biden to make up for some of the poor showing in the first debate. also, Ryan now has to defend the moderate version of Romney that re-emerged a week ago.
 
I think Biden will win. Expectations play hugely into political debates. I heard a poll that said Ryan is expected to do better. Biden is a very expericed debater and reportedly did better than both Obama and Clinton in 2008, however has a current reputation as being the gaffe master.

To be honest Ryan has a really nerdy voice and I've seen him get nervous on tv I think embarrassed himself by not thinking something through.
 
What time PST is the debate? What internet site is best for watching?

6:00PM PST, I believe. It's 8pm CST.

I'd assume Fox or CNN would be streaming it. Not MSNBC...no one watches them, so they don't have the revenue for a stable internet server.

I'm torn because the stupid NFL won't leave the game alone and keeps trying to spread it out over the week which just sucks. NFL is for Sunday and ONE... JUST ONE on Monday. Now we have a thursday night game. It sucks.

To top it off... the wife want's to go out to eat. Don't know if I'll be able to make this one.

They're allowed to have a fist fight, where the presidential candidates aren't.
 
Frank Fahrenkopf (Commission on Presidential Debates Co-chairman) has just warned the audience not to "tweet" in order to remove the audiences' views being imposed upon the public.

I feel like Frank is a high school teacher in an inner-cities school telling petulant kids not to use their smartphones in the classroom.

I doubt that the adults in the room will feel so great about resisting the temptation to give us 140 characters of nonsense about Big Bird.
