What is wrong with this picture?

yep, GOP pressured cbs into that firing
so tell me why it is more important for Obama to end his call to make a snappy return salute instead of remaining on the call tending to national business

If ordering a pizza is national business sure.

It's called, "military courtesy". Properly executing a hand salute to his men would be setting a good example. Obama is their commander in chief after all and like all leaders, should lead by example.

"Hold on a minute Ben, don't give the order yet...hang on, call you back.........gots to salute the troops!"

well then, it must be real!

A quick look at the blog provided by the image, once I did an internet search on it, led me straight to the author of the photograph, who holds the rights to the photograph, and what was going on that day. I then searched out for websites owned by the AP for the events of that day. One was dedicated to digitizing video feeds, which did not easily contain said image. Then the second was an AP image site. All it took was a narrowing down of the days on which she could submit her photo and there it was. Took about 5-6 minutes at the very most. Easy as pie.

Considering that a president salutes or comes in contact with a marine any where from almost every day to many, many times a day when traveling alot, I would think it just a matter of time until he was caught up doing something while also saluting. Those trying to paint him as not caring or something like that are being partisan hacks. This is the kind of crap that I'm getting sick and tired of. If they had cell phone cameras and hundreds of reporters following the president around during Lincolns day or Washingtons day, they would probably get a similar photo, probably many more since people weren't so worried about the "image" back in those times, of them doing something that a hackish partisan could turn into "see! they don't care!"

This is the same as when everyone freaked out over a photo of Obama with his feet up on the presidential desk, and they continued shrieking like the hacks that they are right up until people also found pictures of every president back to Reagan doing the exact same thing.

They should have two people standing outside every voting station during the election and before you can vote they show you this photo and also tell you about how Romney had his dog in a carrier on top of a car one time. Then they should ask you if you care at all about either thing, even in the slightest. If you answer yes, you don't get a vote because you aren't mature enough to handle the responsibility.
