How bipartisan was Mitt Romney really as a Governor? Not that much maybe?

This is but one example of how Romney lied his way through the debate. And it makes it even more disgusting how Obama let him do it.

He was too busy concentrating on his own lies.

Write it down or have it tatooed on your skin. Lets see if President Mittens keeps his word and does NOT lower taxes on the rich.

We all know he will. And we all know that he will lie his way out that too.

Whose word? That wasn't his word.... You liberals, always lying about candidates records, and then countering their opinions to the lies you said about them to begin with... HE never said he wants tax cuts for the rich, $5T in tax cuts, or to continue Bush Era tax cuts and increases in spending... That's what you've all said...

He said he wants to lower tax rates for everybody... but only in a way that will be revenue neutral... by closing tax loopholes, decreasing tax fraud, and creating growth, so more people are paying less taxes... broaden the base...

Growth is what's going to be the ultimate thing that gets us back on track... That's the only way we stand a remote chance of getting out of this current financial crisis... and if we end up having to borrow more money and spend more to create that growth, it makes it that much harder to crawl out of the massive debt hole which continually grows higher... If we create a naturally induced growth, by freeing the reigns of the free market businesses, and they drive a rapidly increasing economy... then we can grow out of the debt hole...

Liberals keep going on about the math not adding up... so let's do the simple math... Bush & Obama created a $1.4T deficit by increasing spending from $2.7T to $3.1T, Obama continued to add to that, until it became $3.6T... while revenue dropped from $2.5T to $2.1T, and has recovered to $2.3T, and soon will be $2.5T... So Obama thinks the way to fix the situation, is that he cut defense spending by $200B, which brought the deficit down to $1.2T... and then he wasnts to create $150B in tax raises on the rich... then he wants to spend that money on increases to entitlement programs and shovel ready construction projects... How would increases in spending and slight revenue increases work? Well we saw how well it worked over the recent four years... Revenue increased from $2.1T to $2.3T, as spending increased from $3.1T to $3.6T... How well did that work at cutting the deficit? It didn't... Obama wasn't able to decrease the size of the deficit until he cut spending on defense... yet, he won't cut spending to any of the exponentially increasing entitlement programs... so the rate of increased spending is going to still be going up...

On the other hand, Romney wants to cut spending drastically, while keeping taxes low, to create growth... So less people are dependent on the government to solve their problems, and can go out and earn money to cover their own expenses... Thus we need to spend less on entitlement programs, and the economy stimulates itself... Once it's growing we begin collecting more in tax revenue, with more people working earning taxable income... So, if we have a $1.2T deficit... and cut spending on programs by $500 (as Romney has suggested), the deficit would drop to $700B, and increase revenue by cutting tax loopholes by about $150B-$300B, which would then drop the deficit to $400B-$550B, and getting 4% growth in the economy... increasing tax revenues by $100-$150B/yr... then we will drastically reduct the deficit... and get on a track to close the deficit and start paying down the debt by 2016...

However, as Romney has said... both in regards to the economy and foreign policy, conditions on the ground will effect how those things are gone about, and since the economy is really struggling at the moment, he said making enough cuts to balance the budget immediately might be too drastic, so the $500B in cuts might be too extreme... so he may cut say $300B instead... Either way it begins to put us on the right track... As I illustrated Obama's course puts us on the wrong track... tax and spend doesn't work... I've seen that time and time again in MA...
