I'm writing a persuasive speech about why Mitt Romney should be president of the United States. I have to include 5 sources and the speech must be 6-8 minutes long. What do you guys think I should start with? I am presenting this to a fairly liberal class, so I want to really nail issues that Obama has failed in and how Romney will come in and fix it. Anyone down to help me?

Obama, as opposed to romney:

1. He's kenyan
2. He's a muslim
3. He hates america
4. He's a communist
5 Look at his skin color

Oh, sorry, I thought you said you were speaking mostly to a conservative class

It's simple

Outline the fundamental principles this great nation was founded upon contained within the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. The 2 most important documents ever written in Human History. Explain the concept of Individualism and Collectivist ideologies respectively. Explain Private Property Rights. Individual Sovereignty. Free Market Economics and how a growing economy creates more jobs when it's an economy based on Productivity and Trade, not hand outs and massive entitlements (Trickle Down Government)

Read the following:

Adam Smith
Hayek
Milton Friedman
Thomas Sowell
Shelby Steele
Edmund Burke
Alexis de Tocqueville

Obama is a Collectivist/Socialist/Marxist. He has even stated he's for re-distribution on camera several times and has said definitively he believes in Collectivist Ideology which is where you find Socialism, Fascism, Communism, Maoism, ect ect ect

the neo-nationalism among the US right is about as collectivist as it is possible to get: militantly collectivist. If youre not willing to give your life in combat for the collective, youre a coward, if you oppose the collective's belligerence against other groups, youre a traitor. If you dont subscribe to the collective's demands for exceptionalism, youre unamerican etc etc etc etc

"we are a christian collective, a conservative collective! Thats what it means to be american and if you dont succumb to the collective's norms, you should leave this great collective and go live somewhere else!"

Btw, I love this "USA is becoming socialist!" nonsense. I enjoy following that platitude with the question: which countries, by that measure, are NOT socialist? (the righties never get beyond mentioning a handful of the the worst hellholes on the planet - and no, hong kong has a welfare and healthcare system that would make the righties weep in their pillows)
