Drudge Report: Fox News Will Air ‘Obama’s Other Race Speech’ Tonight | TheBlaze.com

Fox News’ Sean Hannity said during his radio show Tuesday the “bombshell” video from 2007 will air on “Hannity” tonight at 9 p.m. ET.

The Drudge Report, and Matt Drudge personally, are promoting the release of a six-year-old video that will supposedly spark controversy and “ignite accusations of racism — in both directions.”
According to Drudge’s personal Twitter account, there is currently an “internal debate” happening at an unidentified news network over whether to air the video tonight, the eve of the first presidential debate....

I don't know what this is about, but I'm gonna bet Hannity is gonna have record ratings tonight.

These things usually have much ado about nothing, but we will see.

It may be interesting. But all the diversion, dodging and excuse making that will follow will probably be more entertaining.

It appears in this secret video, he gave a shout out to Wright, the guy they pushed aside during the 2008 campaign and distanced themselves from, denying he was of any influence on Obama. "'My pastor, the guy who puts up with me, counsels me, listens to my wife complain about me. He's a friend and a great leader. Not just in Chicago, but all across the country'.. "

Too funny. When will conservatives learn that didn't work the first time. Just more red meat for the believers.

BTW, Rachel Maddow has been beating Hannity in the key demographic (25-54) the last couple of days.

OBAMA DECLARES HOW POOR PEOPLE: 'Need help with basic skills, how to shop, how to show up for work on time, how to wear the right clothes, how to act appropriately in an office'
Whether or not people take issue with that will of course depend on whether the blame is placed on the individual or society at large.

yeesh. If its THAT video then the only thing that should really impact Obama is the phony ghetto accent and the fact that throughout the speechifying he was putting people to sleep. Or...oh...wait...he called out Chocolate City Mayor Nagin for his blatant incompetence. Maybe the intent of airing the video is to inspire black folks AGAINST Obama.

Heh...he said 'baybuh'...he is so ghetto and 'down'...like all them folks he is preachin to. Heh

If is on Hannity I am sure that it has to do with Rev. Wright. He has been beating that dead horse for years to no avail.

From what I have seen of the video there is only a small introduction of Wright. It is funny though in that Obama resorts to that "Negro dialect" that Harry Reid says BO can effect whenever he wants. The first 9 minutes is on the internet now and is somewhat boring. A lot of criticism of the Iraq war and the Katrina clean up. The great orator doesn't have a teleprompter so he reads a lot of his speech. Maybe the other 30 minutes is more interesting.

Hannity needs rating bad. I won't be surprise if he edits the sound bites.

Missing time like the Romney 47% tape? Those missing 2 minutes didn't bother anyone on the left. Is the left all of a sudden going to get ethical on us?

That anyone would care about either of them or there ratings only shows their blinded view. But thanks for jumping right in head first and providing the diversion I spoke about.

So damn predictable...

Tell me a news or commentary show that doesn't edit things down to the points they want to make/story they want told (and I will laugh hysterically when you say Rachel Maddow)?

It appears the DNC and many lefties in the 'media', tweeted and put out releases even before Hannity went on the air. Pretty funny, start the diversion and spin because they don't know if what is going to be shown is damaging or not...

Please see below the instant reaction to the latest lame Drudge/Hannity desperation tactics.

Tucker Carlson actually covered Obama’s quiet riot speech on his old MSNBC showhttp://nbcnews.to/QMthLf

Andrew Kaczynski ‏@BuzzFeedAndrew
This speech was actually covered on Tucker Carlson’s MSNBC show Tucker in 2007 oddly enough.

Sam Stein ‏@samsteinhp
GAMECHANGER – Obama, in Drudge video, says impoverished communities need help regardless of whether or not they’re hit by hurricanes

Nate Silver ‏@fivethirtyeight
The fact that Drudge is trying to make news would weigh against the hypothesis that the polls are tightening.

Sarah Reese Jones ‏@srjones66
HOW YOU CAN TELL THEY ARE LOSING: Fox and Drudge stoop down to Rev Wright again. FYI, this is not working, again.

Jared Keller ‏@jaredbkeller
That’s it? RT @myurow: Here’s the Reverend Wright clip Drudge and Fox are teasing:Barack Obama Praising His Pastor Jeremiah Wright... - YouTube

Tim Dickinson ‏@7im I believe this is what they call “grasping at straws”

Ben Smith ‏@BuzzFeedBen
This stuff has all been on YouTube since the last campaign, Obama’s race, religion, pastor known a bit longer

Sam Stein ‏@samsteinhp
nevermind, the part Drudge is teasing about Rev Wright has been on youtube since 2008http://youtu.be/geSRuNtlg24

Stefan Becket ‏@stefanjbecket
That was lame.

Farhad Manjoo ‏@fmanjoo
If Drudge/Hannity really are touting this speech they’re idiots. It’s a fantastic speech. We should be proud a president made this speech.

Garance Franke-Ruta ‏@thegarance
So basically the news in the Hampton Roads video is that Obama is black, opposed the Iraq War, & thought NOLA was neglected after Katrina.

Jason Linkins ‏@dceiver
This is probably just a new dubstep version of the Hampton Roads speech.

Dave Zirin ‏@EdgeofSports
According to the death pornographers at @buzzfeed, the “new Obama video” has been online since 2007. A speech at Hampton.

Michael Winship ‏@MichaelWinship
Extrapolating from Drudge headlines, shocking Obama tape is same as one popped up in 2008 campaign from 2007 Hampton U. convocation. 0 new.

sethdmichaels ‏@sethdmichaels
sooooo, you basically already have to think Obama is bent on revenge for racial grievance for this video to bother you: Is This The Video Drudge Is Teasing?

Jake Sherman ‏@JakeSherman
here’s where conservative critics lashed out against the Obama speech drudge is pimping …. but this was 2007 Obama's 'quiet riots' are for real - CNN

Walter Shapiro ‏@waltershapiroPD
Since Drudge & Co. believe Rev. Wright is potent GOP weapon, remember: No incumbent president has lost votes over anything pre-White House.

Obama panders to black community. In whose altered reality other than Hannity is that shocking or a game changer? What a waste of my time that was.

Obama speaks at a UNIVERSITY SETTING and thinks so little of those in attendance that he feels he can connect with him by going ghetto. Speaks volumes.

I have noticed well before now that Obama develops a case of the Southern Accents anytime he is trying to connect to someone. Nothing shocking or new to me.

This is so utterly damning on so many levels. Independents are going to flee Obama in droves

VIDEO: Obama speech praises Wright, attacks feds on Katrina | The Daily Caller

That’s not, Obama says, what is happening in majority-black New Orleans. “What’s happening down in New Orleans? Where’s your dollar? Where’s your Stafford Act money?” Obama shouts, angry now. “Makes no sense! Tells me that somehow, the people down in New Orleans they don’t care about as much!”

It’s a remarkable moment, and not just for its resemblance to Kayne West’s famous claim that “George Bush doesn’t care about black people,” but also because of its basic dishonesty. By January of 2007, six months before Obama’s Hampton speech, the federal government had sent at least $110 billion to areas damaged by Katrina. Compare this to the mere $20 billion that the Bush administration pledged to New York City after Sept. 11

This isn't just pandering to a minority group. It's racial demagoguery and division at it's worst.

The Most Controversial Quotes from Obama’s Hampton University Speech - By Eliana Johnson - The Corner - National Review Online

Hurricane Katrina “was a powerful metaphor for what’s gone [in America] on for generations.”

“It was also there — at Trinity United Church of Christ on the South Side of Chicago — that I met Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., who took me on another journey and introduced me to a man named Jesus Christ. It was the best education I ever had.”

On his run for the Illinois State Senate: “And the second thing people would ask me gets back to the question about why we can’t seem to take the bullet out in this country and do the works and the deeds and unite this country.”

“[The poor] may need help with basic skills — how to show up to work on time, wear the right clothes, and act appropriately in an office. We have to help them get there. That’s why I have called for $50 million to begin innovative new job training and workforce development programs.”

“We need to give our young people some real choices out there so they move away from gangs and violence and connect them with growing job sectors. That is why I am also going to create a 5-E Youth Service Corps. The ‘E’s’ stand for energy efficiency, environmental education and employment. This program would directly engage disconnected and disadvantaged young people in energy efficiency and environmental service opportunities to strengthen their communities while also providing them with practical skills and experience in important and growing career field.”

Right. Not shocking. Condescending as ****...but not shocking. Hey all you black people at this university...Ima talk so's you can know me...cuz we bros'...we black folk.

Guess what with all that violence in the hood, his community organizing skilz fell a bit short...

Rather interesting Obama quote from that speech at around the 27:40 mark about poor people......

“We can’t expect them to have all the skills they need to work. They may need help with basic skills, how to shop, how to show up for work on time, how to wear the right clothes, how to act appropriately in an office. We have to help them get there.”

Very condescending words from him, makes the 47% gaffe from Romney look tame.

Holy **** this reeks of more GOP desperation... to a new level. An old video came up on Romney regarding his 47% speech... you can just tell that the GOP party crew got together in a room after this came out to pull a damage control brainstorm and came up with... "Let's find an old video on OBAMA!!!11111!!!!"

It's so damn obvious. And hilarious.

I doubt he used "Y'all" a lot when he was at Harvard or teaching so that is usually a pretty good sign he is about to get all southern up in here....

His condescension is not shocking to me either. This is nothing more than a plays to the base story at best just like the 47% thing is on the other side. Both are equally inane in my worldview.

Personally I do not care about the speech other than his remarks about the poor.....Says a lot about how he thinks.

I watched it. I thought it was a whole lotta nothing.

It wasn't an old video of Romney. Do you care to comment on the content of the Obama speech? Or how the 'media' didn't report on a good bit of the more controversial statements in Obama's video, but they they reported freely on the Romney video? Or perhaps on how so many in the media came out with comments about the video and story before it was even report on, and how that might show them as desperate...

Nah, easier to put forth some partisan hackery...
