Obama said it's a drag, they are making me do my homework when asked about preparing for the debates.

You point is? What do you want him to say?...it's brutal....then it would sound like he's worried ....if he said I'm fully prepared he comes off too confident....if he says he didn't prepare he sounds like he doesn't care....and so on.....I think he made light of a silly question when anyone watching the news knows that both he and Romney have been practicing their pants off in preparation.
 
Somehow I suspect the possibility of Obama making a joke never occurred to the OP.
