Electoral college vs Popular vote

Have a ball. Its a universal sentiment. I noticed you stopped with 11 and didnt include the balanced budget part.

Which specific states are you referring to?

And why should the vote of ANY CITIZEN be dependent on the ability of state politicians to balance their own books?

EVERY state. And EVERY CITIZEN should demand that their own state be fiscally responsible and accountable. The federal government shouldnt be bailing out ANY states. If individuals were first responsible for themselves, their families second, their communities third and their states finally, the federal government wouldnt be carrying the nanny state burden and we wouldnt be 16 trillion in debt. If you cant be personally responsible and responsible as a state, you have no business in the process. I realize that is a difficult concept for you to wrap your brain around...especially knowing how committed you are to the welfare state. And thats fine...truly. If you want your state to take care of every citizen in your state, then you should by damn be about that work. You are in...what...Michigan? is that right? Maybe I have that wrong. But lets say you are. If you are from Michigan and a major city like Detroit is a festering toilet and getting worse every day...then Michigans voters and states should not be allowed to pollute the political waters until you square your own mess away. And heres the beauty....states like California that DO contribute a lot to the country could dedicate their resources to taking care of their own citizens. Winner winner.
