Why do you feel comfortable asking me to ignore my conscience and hold my nose in the voting booth? That kind of bull**** pseudo-logic is the chief reason why we continue to have the same choice election after election.

I think some of you are taking this to seriously and if a little girl whom is a paid actor swearing is surprising to you then you wouldn't like the movie kick-ass. Either way I thought it was funny and meant more to remind younger people to make sure and vote.

Not you apparently. This goes right back to the Congress.

Anyway, my point of view is based on actual experience, I do not get paid for this. I help these guys out because I can and they cannot adequately defend their own interests. The "fee basis" personnel are bean counters not medical personnel, so they ask the veteran to justify the reason for the medical care the doctors rarely get involved because they do not know about the cut off of the funds until much later than needed.

I think I understand how broken the system is today. It is the same brokenness for everything the government meddles in. If privatizing means reducing or eliminating the government's involvement other than as the insurer (meaning they provide the money and not the insurance) than Vets have some hope for an adequate future. Otherwise not.

Either way Obamacare is a game changer for everyone. It will be for the worse.

I do take seriously a little girl being used in this way, and I do blame her parents. It's not cute; it's appalling to hear the f-bomb coming out of her mouth.

Medicare will be bankrupt in a few years. The one term Marxist managed to wrest a very large sum of money from Medicare to make his signature legislation, Obamacare seem like a deal. LOL. Either way you are going to lose. You may be covered but there are not going to be any doctors who will see you. Later you get to face the unelected death panels who will decide that your miserable body is not worth saving as you are a taker and not a maker. Soon you will be asking"You wanna Obamaphone with that?"

I really like Samuel Jackson. But perhaps the one thing I can't stand in political discussion is someone dropping in and saying "WAKE UP!" It's so tired and played out. It's also really condescending IMO to jump in and imply that you are the only one with their eyes open while everyone else is blind. A little overly arrogant to me. That being said, I know he's just being him and making it comical... I get more annoyed by posters in a forum doing it... especially newbs who make that their first post. I just want to tell them to go get their binky and suck their thumb for comfort.

"WAKE UP!!11!!1!!!" posts are generally just a prelude to "OH NOES the sky is falling because people don't think like me!" posts which I can't stand.

What source do you have for your claim that Medicare will be bankrupt in a few years? Obamacare actually keep Medicare solvent until 2024 based on the CBO calculations. I have plenty of doctors willing to see me. I have no clue where you get that idea. There are no death panels with Obamacare. Any close to death panels would be if Ryans budget is allowed to go in effect. It would offer vouchers to replace medicare. That would put the elderly and disabled at the mercy of the privitized insurance companies. They are not the most human organization when it comes to medical coverage. I think you need to do the research yourself and stop letting Fox News tell you what's going on.

Guess you haven't been in a schoolyard lately.

Profanity surrounds us in western civilization. If you are appalled by a "child" saying the "f-bomb" that would suggest you're in an almost chronic state.

Personally I find it to be no more than another word in the popular lexicon. Probably one of the most expressive and certainly one of the most flexible in meaning of all words in the english language.

PS. If more people were less apathetic, there would be no need for strong, attention getting pleas to get out and vote.

There is a time and a place for "colorful" language. In my world, little kids don't even generally know the f-bomb, but if they do, they already know not to say it. Here, this little girl's parents have apparently agreed to use their kid and allow her to use language that, amazingly, still remains restricted by those of good sense in most circumstances.

Yes, I remain an afficianado of the f-word. But there is a time and a place, and there is NEVER a place for a child to use it. Ever. Particularly not in the service of so-called "grownup" ideas. Shame on her parents for allowing her to be exploited in this way. No reason to encourage linguistic behavior that remains unacceptable in public even in 2012.

I make no distinction between "adult" language and "kids" language. Its all one language. I personally feel it is inappropriate for my 4 year old grandson to use profanity, but I expect my 12 year old nephew to use it. His parents prohibition is generally only valid when he's within their earshot.
BTW - I have four children, the youngest of whom is 25 the oldest 31.

I think that the most appropriate use of this language by a child is in the service of communicating "grown up" ideas. This is a well used and effective dramatic method to capture attention, shock the shockable and stimulate thought.

Ok by percentage Obama has ran up slightly more debt than Bush rate wise.

Bush started with about 5 trillion and ended with a little higher than 10 trillion so that's 100% increase

Obama started with a little over 10 trillion and is now at 15 trillion is 50%

Assuming he aquires the same % rate of debt (which he shouldn't as the economy gets better so there's more revenue, and less spending needed) he would acure 125%.

1.5x1.5 = 2.25 or 1.25 increase, about the same as Bush.
