The government is not god PAC has gone all out, out with the truth and in with the lies.

LIE Number 1

Says Obama is only president in history who has deliberately removed the words "endowed by their Creator" when referring to the Declaration of Independence.

First of all, it seems that not just Obama in a speech forgot the words "endowded by their creator" but the likes of Reagan, Dwight D. Eisenhower and Calvin Coolidge also forgot to mention them in a speech. Reagan did it in his speech to proclaim MLK day. In that speech he said

He made it possible for our nation to move closer to the ideals set forth in our Declaration of Independence: that all people are created equal and are endowed with inalienable rights that government has the duty to respect and protect.

Proclamation 5431 -- Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, 1986

Proving that this PAC is packing on the lies. Also, Obama often does say "endowed by their creator" as can be seen on the politifact page about this PACk of lies.

PolitiFact | Ad says Obama leaves 'Creator' out of Declaration

They rate it FALSE

LIE Number 2

"Barack Hussein Obama will ... force local authorities to allow Occupy protesters to live in parks."

This pac says:

"Barack Hussein Obama will move America to force local authorities to allow Occupy protesters to live in parks,"

Politifact rules:

There’s a First Amendment right to peaceably assemble, but local governments are generally allowed to enforce time and place restrictions on those gatherings. An expert from the First Amendment Center told us he saw no evidence that the president was interested in changing the law and we found no evidence of that in our searches. To the contrary, we found evidence of the administration supporting current law. And a president can’t overturn a Supreme Court decision, anyway. Pants on Fire!

The entire motivation can be found here PolitiFact | Government is Not God PAC says Obama wants to allow Occupy protesters to live in parks

They rate it PANTS OF FIRE

LIE Number 3

"Barack Hussein Obama will ... force Christian schools to hire non-Christian teachers."

Politifact ruling

The ad claims that Obama will "force Christian schools to hire non-Christian teachers." But he has not sought to do that himself and the only evidence is a weak link to the solicitor general's argument in the Hosanna-Tabor case.

The case did address the proper balance between the government and religious institutions in personnel decisions, but even participants in the case say the government did not say what the ad claims. On balance, we rate the claim False.

The entire motivation/story can be read here http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2012/sep/26/government-not-god-pac/newspaper-ad-says-barack-obama-will-force-christia/

They rate it FALSE

Lie number 4

"Barack Hussein Obama will .. force Christian organizations to pay for abortions."

Politifact rules that there is "some" truth, some truth because the "abortion" mentioned is the preventive care, as defined by HHS, which encompasses birth control, emergency contraceptives and sterilization -- health services that some people equate with abortion (but most do not).

These preventive care will be paid by the money paid by all the people and among them might be Christian organizations and their employees but even so, to call that abortion is a bit/very misleading.

Politifact writes:
Our conclusion: There is a narrow window in this claim that has some truth.

The wording -- "Christian organizations will be forced to pay for abortions" -- is clearly an overreach. Christian organizations won’t be "forced" to hand over money for abortion procedures performed at clinics by doctors.

But because employers are now required to provide health insurance for employees under the Affordable Care Act (or otherwise face fines) and because that law dictates that preventive care must be provided at no cost to the insured person, there is some force being applied by the federal government. Preventive care, as defined by HHS, encompasses birth control, emergency contraceptives and sterilization -- health services that some people equate with abortion.

Overall, the statement creates a misleading impression. But that one element of truth leads us to rate it Mostly False.

You can read everything here PolitiFact | PAC ad says Obama will force Christian groups to pay for abortions

They rate it MOSTLY FALSE

Lie number 5

"Barack Hussein Obama will ... force courts to accept Islamic Sharia law in domestic disputes."

Politifact writes

Our ruling

The ad from the Government is not God PAC said Obama "will move America to force courts to accept Islamic Sharia law in domestic disputes."

The PAC offered no evidence -- and we couldn’t find any either.

The idea itself runs counter to the constitutional separation of powers and individual protections defined in the Bill of Rights.

We rate the statement Pants on Fire.

you can find all the evidence/rest of the story here PolitiFact | PAC claims Obama would force Sharia law on courts

They rate it PANTS OF FIRE

Not to be outdone by the deceitful PAC Government is not god, the anti-tax group Americans for Tax reform thinks they have to add to the pile of lies in this political campaign by

Lie number 6

Obama sent $450 million to China to build a wind farm in Texas.

Politifact writes:

Our ruling

The Americans for Tax Reform flyer said that Obama sent $450 million to China to build a wind farm in Texas.

The wind farm was never built, the project sponsors never applied for government funds and never received any.

These facts have been well known for at least two years and were publicly reported several times. The source cited by Americans for Tax Reform noted that the project had not been funded.

The flyer spreads a discredited claim. We rate the statement Pants on Fire.

Why do political parties believe they need to blatantly lie (both parties do this) to make their point. There should be enough ammo to make your point by using actual factual truths and not total and utter lies like the above issues. Because of the 6 claims, 2 are lies, 3 are pants of fire lies and 1 was misleading but mostly false.

Ho hum...

Things must be slow in the Netherlands.

It's well established that PACs aren't known for their integrity, class, or ethical behavior in their ad contents.

Call me when one of them raises speculation that the opposition candidate is Hitler's genetic clone, trained by undercover Nazi's to overthrow America's government from the inside in an effort to gain access to our successful jewish population and punish us for supporting the Israeli state.

This just in, Fox News calls Obama Hitler for his socialist Fascist agenda.

My friends, MSNBC has just come out and called Romney the hellspawn of Hitler who would wants to eat your children and sell our country to the corporations.

/ hey...I never realized the news networks were registered SuperPACs...

Ho hum...

Nah, it only took a few minutes. But it took away from the time I have to change the teams I have in the NFL fantasy football games (a few to say the least) into the ones I need this week, changing out so that my Ravens teams are the defense of the week, make sure Pita is in where I have him and do the other changes I need to get my teams ready for this week.

Okaaayyy...

In the fall of 2010 in a month's time Obama omitted "Creator" on 3 seperate occasions while reciting that line from the Declaration of Independence. He had developed a pattern and that's why he got called on it. And as former Congressman Stupak stated while attending the democratic convention weeks ago the HHS mandate which orders employers to provide abortafacients to its employees violates freedom of religion and the Hyde Amendment. He stated that he hopes that Obama changes his mind about it because it violates the Executive Order he signed in order to get Stupak and several other pro life democrats to vote for Obamacare.
I wouldn't be surprised if everything else in the ads is also true. Sometimes the biggest liars are really the fact checkers.
******************************************************************************************************************
Stupak said, “Well, I’ll let individuals, pro-life Democrats answer that. I myself do not appreciate the HHS mandate, when you demand that an employer must provide contraceptives despite their moral, legal objections to it. I think that’s wrong. I think it violates freedom of religion. I think it violates the Hyde law [amendment] that’s been statutory for 40-some years. So, I think there’s real problems with it. I think the president is wrong on this one.”
Stupak:

I saw a show on one of the CSPANs today about PAC fact checking. One of them said that PACs have told them that it does not matter if what they say is true or false because the ads work even when countered by fact checkers so they are going to keep on keeping on

why is the addition of the creator important to begin with? He said all people are created equal.

Who created all people equally, Ronald McD? Steve Jobs? The fairy godmother?

Using the line "created all people equally" more than implies the existence of the creator (that christians believe there is) so why bust him for not adding it to the sentence? He was not reciting the declaration of independence, he was quoting from it in a speech.

The deceit keeps going on and on with this PAC, now we have

Lie number 7

"Barack Hussein Obama will … force doctors to assist homosexuals in buying surrogate babies."

The politifact ruling is:

A newspaper ad claimed that "Barack Hussein Obama will … force doctors to assist homosexuals in buying surrogate babies." There’s no evidence Obama is interested in such a requirement. But even if he were, surrogacy laws vary by state and there’s no mechanism to force doctors to perform a procedure. Experts found this claim "outrageous," "imaginary," and a "fevered dream." We find it Pants on Fire.

Like several from this PAC, this story is again Pants on Fire

The rest of this story can be found here http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2012/sep/27/government-not-god-pac/ad-claims-obama-will-force-doctors-assist-homosexu/

How on earth is anyone going to force doctors to assist in the buying of surrogate babies? What's next? Obama wants to force all US parents to sacrifice their firstborn to the anti-christ? Obama wants the right to sleep with newly weds on the first night of their marriage just like ancient kings had? Obama wants to replace the christmas with kwanzaa?

How many more stupid things are they going to claim Obama wants to do to America?

I can name a few more from their newspaper article that are just as bad or worse than the ones politifact has ruled so far. This is the next humdinger the republican PAC has come up with:

"Barack Hussein Obama wants to force police agencies to allow Muslim brotherhood to select staff"

Well. I feel confident enough to make a ruling on this myself before politifact does, I would rule this aPants on Fire bit of deceit/lies

Can't you just start blaming people with realistic claims? Things the opponent actually wants to achieve instead of making things up like this.

why is the addition of the creator important to begin with? He said all people are created equal.
You know damn well why, because the Christian magical sky fairy is a jealous and insecure god who demands vocal and repeated credit for everything at every possible chance. Allah Akbar!

Sorry, what's the point of all this? There are tons of "pants on fire" findings against Obama and his minions too.

All in all, I think Obama's team is more dishonest than Romney's, since Obama's entire political life is built on crafting strawman falsehoods and then knoocking them down, while at the same time everything he says about the economy is a radical distortion and his "plansd" to fix the issue have zero chance of success. He has made this election about little things because he cannot run on big things.

He is a failed leader, a failed military leader a failed budgeter and has failed in his steering of the economy. So all he has left are his lies.

Sorry, what’s the point of all this?

Because they need to, that's why. And this is the time of the political season that such things get blasted around by all parties. Think about it.

The folks who are never going to vote for your guy froth and fume publically and end up making a fool of themselves going overboard in response. The party loses nothing here and actually may gain.

The folks who are soilidly for your guy excuse the lies as near-truths and part of the campaign process (after all, as you mentioned, both parties do it). The party loses nothing here.

The target is the flaky, non-informed, soundbite voter. Get a few of them to hear the ad and you may gain some more votes for your guy.

Not to mention, in the resulting uproar, the opposing candidate has to spend valuable time defending against the charges.

i hate the superpac ads for both sides. just put the damned candidate in the ad explaining what he or she thinks is wrong and how his or her strategy addresses the problem. i'd love to see a national debate about the balance of trickle down and trickle up theory and potential energy policies, but instead, we get "this guy hates your family and wants to eat your children."
