Kind of sums it up, don't you think?

Except... he never said anything like that.

Not even close...

Here's a transcript of his DNC speech.

Barack Obama DNC speech (text, video) - POLITICO.com

If you can find anything like that in there... I'd be happy to accept your cartoon.

But right now between this and your youtube video thread, you're being exactly what we all know you to be.

A right wing partisan hack.

I think it does too. I saw a bit of Dennis Miller last night on O'Reilly and looked up the clip. See 2:47. LiveLeak.com - Dennis Miller on The O'Reilly Factor - 9/26/12

His point is solid. Why am I busting my hump 40-60 hours a week? Why not "get in the other line" and enjoy my life just a little bit? (Pride, self-respect, or as Aaron Tippin sings, "getting it honest"?)

Why is it that so few conservatives know the answer to that question?
How is it that this question is seen as a stumper instead of the no-brainer that it is?

From your post I assume that you are a stickler for absolute certitude in any sort of political statement.

I assume that you reject out of hand any description of an opponent's motives, intentions, strategy, or past performance.

I assume that if you cannot find the words "take medicare away from seniors as soon as I am elected" in any of Romney's speeches to the GOP convention, then you would be REALLY REALLY REALLY mad about Obama using that as a keystone of his campaign.

Or do you reserve your outrage for CARTOONs = obviously a more sinister problem than actual campaign ads running constantly on TV.

Methinks the term 'political hack' can be a two-edged sword.

I think the cartoon is a commentary on the overall direction of the DEM party in general and Obama's strategy in particular. And I think it is not only humorous (a required element of a 'cartoon' and usually containing some sort of exaggeration) but also pretty darned accurate.

Is your objection to it based on it being inaccurate? or is it just that it doesn't measure up to the standards of a legal brief?

I think it the answer is simple too - self respect.

Conservatives are usually big on personal integrity, dignity, work ethic, responsibility.

All of that has to be shelved the moment you decide to allow the government to provide your every need and desire. You become a parasite. Parasites have no self respect.

I am not referring to those who temporarily fall into the 'safety net' = that is what these programs were designed for.

I am referring to those who 'squat' in the safety net, and load it down to the breaking point.

These leeches need to be (figuratively) slapped upside the head and at least made to be objects of derision rather than be cultivated for votes.

We ridicule Muslim extremists when they become enraged by a cartoon and now the right wants to act like one contains some world changing wisdom? And you wonder why people make unfavorable comparisons between the two groups.
