The presidential race may finally be turning decisively against Mitt Romney. The latest Gallup poll shows President Barack Obama leading Romney 50 percent to 44 percent, just six days after they were tied at 47 percent apiece.

And the article makes an excellent case that Romney has lost, not so much because of his gaffes, but because he is doubling down on some of the same Bush policies that got us into this mess in the first place. That might be good for the base, but you don't win with the base. You win with Independents.

So now, let's see what happens in 2016. Stick a fork in Republican chances to take back the White House this year. It is done.

It's almost like you are rooting for obama to win. The polls are heavily oversampling dem's based on voter turnout in 08 but but the pollsters and you libs may be in for a big surprise. The polls showed Walker was in a very tight race, he won in a land slide.:)

Hey dude. This thread is not about me. But since YOU are the one who brought me up in a thread that is not about me, I'll admit it. I posted a thread with a link from.......

American Conservative Magazine!!

Damn, all you had to do was click the link, and READ!! Reading is fundamental. Try it, and maybe you won't end up posting idiotic stuff like this that makes you look really foolish. LOL.

Don't be paranoid "dude" You said" Romney has lost" and that is what all liberals want people to think so they become dis spirited, don't donate and don't vote. The article never says he has lost those are your words so you interjected you into the subject. Take a chill pill "dude".

American Conservative magazine says Romney is losing, and guess what? They are right. Glad you finally read the article, though, before continuing to personally attack me with your silly snide remarks.

No point in showing up at the voting booth. I might as well just stay home.

by the time we have reaching voting age, most of us have encountered those who aspire to positions of authority, but who are unable to articulate how they plan to use that authority once it is passed to them
romney epitomizes that person

but those people often get elected. because, when times are not optimistic, we want change ... change we can believe in
what has romeny offered us to believe he will offer us chances of a better change when compared to the candidate we elected in 2008, the fellow who has so disappointed many of us

a Gary Johnson, hell, even a condi rice, would have given us a viable alternative, but the republicans went with their most moderate candidate, who sealed his fate - and his ties to the reich wing - when he chose ryan as his running mate

like the democrats who ran gore and kerry and dukakis, and the republicans with dole, the GOP simply selected the wrong candidate to be able to win

Hmmm, never saw those words in the article, they seem to be your words.

Jeez, it's even in the freakin' title. Don't tell me you didn't even read that. :rofl

Why Romney Is Losing

The GOP nominee has doubled down on the policies of a failed presidency.

OK, I'm done with you. Go bait somebody else into a fight. You are on ignore now.

I actually think Romney would of been better copying Bush on one thing...the whole "Compassionate Conservative" angle. The Consevative circle jerk of "job creators" has turned their back on the reason for their meteoric rise in the past few decades...by becoming the party of the "common man" for a lot of middle class voters.

Mitt at least is getting branded the canidate of the escargot crowd while bemoaning their lazy workers for not taking responsibilities. It's really pretty amazing!

blah blah blah mental fart blah blah blah

He said Romney is losing, not that Romney has lost, two completely different things. I know you have a hard time with these things, but put in an effort dude.

To be fair, I did say that Romney has lost, while the article says that Romney is losing. I don't see how Romney can turn this around at this point in time. He is toast. There is good in that, in that the fruitcakes will be purged from the party after this year, as sane people take it back.

The fruticakes were not kicked out after Bush, or McCain/Palin.. they became stronger. I some how doubt that this possible defeat will kick them out.. if anything it will fracture the party in two at best, and at worst, push the whole party more to the right as they seem to think that this will win over the middle...

Oh, c'mon.....it's "early".......Willard said so.

I think he wants to "shoot the messenger". Just another sign of desperation.

This is the exact tactic you Republocrat jerks use against 3rd party.

It's called reality, at this point in history a vote for a 3rd party candidate is a vote for obammy. Libs like dan want to talk you into voting 3rd party for exactly this reason.

Not in my State. Romney will clearly win it. Dan lives in the same state.

Then quit your bitching when it's turned back on you. Romney is a corporate shill and the more he runs his mouth, the more people figure this out. It's called reality.

He’s losing in no small part because of the portions of his party that demand he double down, they’d burn the party to the ground before they let Romney (or any other candidate I suspect) lay out a different path.

I suspect he knows better, I suspect he’ d be a decent operations manager executive, but he doesn’t have the juice to lay out a sane direction. :(
