President Obama acknowledged in a "60 Minutes" interview that sometimes his own campaign has gone "overboard" in making its case against Mitt Romney — taking some responsibility for a presidential race marked by accusations of inaccuracies on both sides.
"Do we see sometimes us going overboard in our campaign — are there mistakes that are made or areas where there's no doubt that somebody could dispute how we are presenting things? You know, that happens in politics," Obama admitted during a portion of the interview posted online Sunday, when asked about the faults independent fact checkers have found in both campaigns' ads.
One of the most criticized ads of the election season came from the pro-Obama super PAC, Priorities USA Action, which suggested that Romney was indirectly responsible for a woman's death from cancer.
Obama, who didn’t address that particular ad, took responsibility for approving most of his campaign’s message.
"Well actually, the truth of the matter is, Steve, that the vast majority of my ads have been under my name and I've approved them," Obama said, arguing that much of the message is a positive one.

overboard, huh?
when was that?
could he be alluding to groundless accusations of felonies, african americans in chains, anonymous phone calls charging romney with paying no taxes, bain the vulture, bain the vampire, a trumped up war on women?
hey, it happens in politics, sometimes elbows are sharp
especially when you're president of the united states
hope and change, anyone?
