Yeah, one would think this will have a damaging effect on Obama's re-election bid...but I don't think it will.

You see, Obama is good at avoiding responsibility. We've seen him acting to that end already. Add in the MSM's alliance with him and the result is...not much.

Let's face it. The American People don't really care what's going on in other places. If it doesn't directly impact them where they live, they don't think about it a whole lot.

I have 3 family members who were laid off Sept 1... and I just passed a block of shops in Downtown Boston today on my way home from work... what was 6 shops in June 5 shops in July, is now down to a sole 7-11 left on the block... This is Downtown Boston looking like a ghost town... and we're supposed to be one of the best performing areas in this economy...

Once all this papparazzi style politics calms down... the real stuff will be a center stage discussion of actual relevant issues during the debates... see you then...

Good luck with that one. Romney wasn't even the best GOP debater. I would be surprised if the debates do anything but harm his campaign.

Romney can more than hold his own in debates...

Obama has been overly reliant on teleprompters, and BS slogans...

He also won't be able to dodge his record during the debates... Romney will be putting it right to him...

And yet... no additional security on the 9/11 anniversay, in such an area... that has toppled pro-US leaders, in favor of electing leaders with ties to Hezbollah, Hamas, and other Iranian backed terrorist organizations...

Obama is who we should be blaming for this... not the people in the embassy that were attacked... not the political canidate who criticized the poor president too soon... but the man who was in charge, and whose duty was to protect them from such an occurance...

He was constantly out debated by almost everyone. After the debates numerous candidates saw their numbers jump except him.

Really all Obama has to do is point out all of Romneys flip flops.

Imagine the sheer number of reports from that area the government gets. There is reason to believe that Obama would ignore a credible threat from that area. But it does take time to sort through all of the information. You just have an agenda against Obama and will leap to any conclusion that benefits you view.

With the number of people out there claiming that Obama's bid for reelection or Romney's bid for election are dead you'd think we were electing zombies. Well...that may be a sad but true commentary on the whole thing.

Per CNN Obama is starting to drop in the foreign affairs part of the polling over this. It is still not clear in all the reporting if the Ambassador knew of the specific threat or not.

This bombshell is far more important than some mope (who should be jailed) illegally taping Romney's PRIVATE fundraiser comments.

the fact that the press is basically ignoring the deaths of American diplomatic corps members in order to soil their panties over Romney basically telling the truth shows how incredibly biased the MSM is.

This assault on US sovereignty is as serious an insult to America as what happened in Iran in 1979 and more costly in terms of lives (until Carter's botched rescue operation happened).

Really... you seem a bit confused about what happened... There were like 20 debtates, over the first 15 inconsequential debates, Romney consistently floated to the top of polls...

Then when it got tight, Romney killed Newt off in the debate in FL and killed Santorum off in the debate in AZ ahead of the AZ and MI primaries...

but, again, something you don't understand about debates, is the pressure of going in expected to be the winner...

often its most about expectations, and when the president is expected by most people to be great, and Romney lands several shots and goes toe to toe with him, a draw favors Romney...

The threat was credible enough that it was reported in one of Israel's largest read circulations...

The threat was known to us... but how would Obama know which threats were credible or not, when he was skipping security briefings to do campaign fundraisers in Las Vegas?!?

Regardless of any specific threat, it was the 9/11 anniversary, and every embassy and every American at home and abroad should've been on full alert...

What's the point in saying "we will always remember" when even the president treats it with contempt...

This was gross negligence...

- not staffing adequate security for foreign consulates/embassies, both on the 9/11 anniversary, and in areas of high turmoil and transitioning governments that can't be relied upon for able security protection, that goes for Afghanistan in 2011, Libya and Egypt in 2012...

- not keeping in touch with the regular security briefings, instead prioritizing campaign events...

- a delayed reaction once the violence outbreak occured... so much that the competing presidential candidate had reacted to the situation prior to you... People say FAST team deployed, but FAST was deployed 24 hrs after the attacks... If FAST was deployed at the outbreak of violence, they wouldve been there to break up the mob outside the embassy in Cairo... instead the al-qaida flag was raised at our embassy...

- the lack of a clear response to embassy attacks encouraged the spread of violence again American embassies, to where it was viewed as sport, rather than the risk of dire consequences...

Yes, exactly... diversionary topic... don't pay attention to the president's failures at performing his duty, while instead prioritizing campaign events... pay attention to the iphone 5... wait that's not working... look, secret video of Romney saying similar things to what he's been saying all along...

His Carteresque policies have lead to Carteresque results... We now have the economic malaise and the position of global weakness... thanks Carter II... No wonder we voted him out the first time, let's pray we do again...

I thought most people are appauled that the US didn't react to the known threat of an attack on Pearl Habor and 9/11? What am I missing here?

Still not sure why the Ambassador wasn't put in the bunker with the others who lived by his security team instead of leaving him exposed burning docs. It is troublesome for sure. I do think it was really off-putting to me that Obama and Clinton trucked the press corp out to Dover and gave political speeches at the Dover arrival ceremony. I am still on the fence, but that really nudged me some toward Romney. For 8 years, Bush officials went out to Dover on a regular basis to show respect to KIA coming home but never did speeches on TV with freshly arrived coffins adding in the production value.
