Nancy Pelosi: 'Everybody Knows' Mitt Romney Won't Become President

She reminds me of the New York socialite who was astounded when Nixon wiped the floor with McGovern in 1972. She didn't know anybody who voted for Nixon.

But Pelosi is right you know.

that is exactly what I thought of.

then I thought of the time that Pelosi told us the earthquake would be good for Haiti's economy, and that Obamacare "was really a jobs bill"

If Pelosi says it...That means the opposite is true.

I cannot believe NIXON WON

everyone I KNOWvoted for McGovern

You guys hoping for another Nixon to show everyone what a Republican presidency is capable of? Lmao.

I had the misfortune of being at a customer's home who played nothing but MSNBC all day long. Apparently, The Great and Benevolent Deity, Obama, will be wiping the floor with the anti-Christ, racist Romney. Of course, this only makes sense because only someone who hates the poor and minorities could vote republican.

Ya neither will she, one of the dems I don't like so much. Pelosi is half the reason why dems lost the house. Maybe they'll get it back after people find out Boehner's the alternative =P.

Well, Boenher is a rube to be sure, but I am thinking that changes are in the air even when we clean sweep the destructive progressives back to the dust bin.

FWIW. I'm afraid that ugly woman is right.

Barack Obama to be re-elected President in 2012
64.2%
CHANCE
Last prediction was: $6.42 / share
Today's Change: -$0.21 (-3.2%

Mitt Romney to be elected President in 2012
34.2%
CHANCE
Last prediction was: $3.42 / share
Today's Change: +$0.05 (+1.5%)

But Pelosi is right you know.

Yeah, she has such a good track record on predictions…on the 2010 midterms not once but four times in the same interview:

REP. NANCY PELOSI: …I think it's great that they think that, but we are acting upon another possibility, and that is that we will hold the House.

...Our members left Congress last night very confident that they would return in the majority.

… Well, we intend to have a majority in the Congress after November.

…Well, you know what? I'm not here to talk about that, because I'm not predicating any conversation on the basis of Democrats not winning the majority.

Pelosi: Democrats Expect to Keep House Majority, 'Battle-Tested' for Campaign | PBS NewsHour | Sept. 30, 2010 | PBS

And how was it the President described it…oh yeah, shellacking... kinda missed that one a bit…:lamo

Intrade right? IIRC they were off 30 points on the Walker recall...just sayin'

We're all going to remember what you said here.

What EXACTLY are you all going to remember?

1. That I question Nancy Pelosi's ability to predict the future based on the success of her most recent efforts.
2. That I think she is wrong. (which I didn't state)
3. That I believe Mitt Romney will win. (which I have stated on many threads I don't believe)

Or is this a typical veiled threat commonly used by organized labor?

Oh brother. You don't get it do you. Has it occurred to you that Obama is such a sure thng that even Pelosi feels brave enough to say it?

"a vield threat of organized labor" . .

(chuckle)

Well said.

Er...uh, you didn't answer the question...typical

You're right, I'm wrong...organized labor NEVER veils their threats...what was I thinkin'...:lamo

If Romney wins, I'd like somebody to call her and play her comments on loop, just 'cause. Maybe her face will actually show expression.

Sarcastically said. MSNBC is every bit as bad as Fox.

That's quite a statement, to say MSNBC is 50% as bad as Fox would be really, really pushing it. I'm not sure anything else in this world approaches Fox's evil modus operandi.
