What I have failed to hear from the left, is what do you think Obama should "do" about these attacks?
Should he simply condemn them and move on? Or should he actually "do" something? I want to know what liberals want Obama to "do" about the attacks, the ongoing attacks, and the future attacks of sovereign US territory?
Obama has already condemned the attacks in Libya and Egypt, since then, there have been dozens of other riotous attacks on other embassies around the Middle East and Northern Africa. Is this not proof enought that "condemnations" and "words" to not dissuade these people?
Now, it's being proven that the Obama administration is lying through their teeth about receiving warnings from Libya and Egypt about attacks on the consolate and embassy. Jay Carney was attacking the maker of the video, and not the terrorists who attacked us. Here's the point liberals, WHO CARES IF A BIGOT MADE A VIDEO??? The business of our government is to protect our citizens and our embassies abroad. The business of our government isn't to "condemn" free speech, even if it's offensive to others. You either believe in our sacred right to free speech, or you don't. When you condemn this man's speech, you are condemning his freedom to say it, produce it, YouTube it, Tweet it, Facebook it, Preach it, write it, whatever. When we get into the business of condemning free speech, I'm not sure we're even "American" anymore.
But liberals don't believe in freedom. They believe in regulating, curbing, and limiting freedom, which is why they are attacking this man's video, and not Obama's and the State Department's response to murderous attacks.
Keep it simple stupid!!!! What violates human rights more, an offensive video? Or murdering innocent people? But the left attacks the video maker before they condemn the attacks. They condemn the attacks, but their condemnation is attached with a major caveat....the condemnation of the exercise of free speech by an American citizen right along with it!
It's like if my neighbor killed my wife, and I came out and condemned him for killing her by saying this. "The murder of my wife is abhorant, and I stongly condemn the actions of my neighbor, and I will seek any legal ramifications against him as humanly possible. However, I also want to say to the murderer of my wife, that I also condemn her comments towards you when she called you a "racist". Those comments were disgusting and offensive."
Now, can you imagine that crap? On one hand, you are strongly condemning his actions, but on the other, you're offering up a statement of understanding, which is apologetic. It completely undermines the condemnation for the murder! THAT'S how Obama operates. On one hand, he condemns the attacks, which he should. But then he and his administration offer up the caveat, which is condemning the offensive video! NO! That sends a signal to the terrorists that the Obama administration will slap you on the wrist, but then turn around and condemn free speech. So, what do they do? They plan yet another attack because they know they can get away with it. It's poor, poor leadership. Liberals are embarrassed to stand up and say "no, we're right!, and You're wrong!".
I don't care how offensive the language is. We don't believe in killing over offensive language. THAT'S what he needs to tell them, and then he needs to follow up with some kind of action. I'm not saying we should necessarily "kill" them, but why not punish them in some way???? Instead, no punishment has been doled out. Not cutting of funding, nothing. No sanctions. Nothing. Just words. He's a weak leader is what he is, and it's putting Americans in more danger.
