The map above is an alternative analysis of the electoral vote standing for this presidential race done for QstarNews.com by the author of this article. The methodology for this particular map is quite simple. For each state, the polling data listed for that state at Real Clear Politics is viewed, and when obviously skewed media polls are removed, the remaining credible polls are averaged. If that average shows Obama at 50.1 percent or better, that state is shaded blue for Obama. Any result below that for Obama, and the state is shaded red for Romney. This reflects just about all the undecided vote going to Romney by the time voters cast their ballots in the actual election.

Romney may win, but the map wouldn't look anything like this.

Using this guys math, if a state is polled at Obama 49.9, Romney 40, Romney WINS!

The press and media (except FOX) is doing all they can for Obama. Accordingly this is still Obama's election.

I think the Obamabots still cant compute the mid terms.. the country HATES OBAMA...

If the country truly hated Obama as you assert, the polling numbers wouldn't be close and continue to fluctuate. It seems to me this is simply wishful thinking on your part.

Obama is acreating a voting block of the unemployed thats his stratagy... and they can stay home and answer fake polls..

Poll numbers are worthless. Carter was leading Regan in the polls by 9 points, or better. Look how that turned out.

Poll numbers aren't worthless. Aggregates of polls have actually been really accurate the last 3 presidential elections. Some of it has to do with sheer volume of polls we have now and some has to do with better polling methodology, but they are actually much better indicators than they were in 1980. On the other hand, single polls should not be latched onto as some have done here, especially during a bounce.

But, at the end of the day, there's only one poll that makes a bit of difference.
