Then why do liberals dominate higher education? If they where so stupid then why do they dominate the news the way they do? You are doing your side a diservice if you think liberals are stupid. Our way of thinking has been around for 300 years and as much as you conservatives don't want to admit it you need us as much as we need you. What is the rights strenth is our weakness and our strenth is your weakness so it evens out in the end. You know checks and balence. Without it both sides can be facist.
Point taken. But what you fail to recognize, is that liberalism has shifted into something else. Gone are the days of Blue Dog Democrats. Obama isn't Clinton. Clinton worked with Gingrich on welfare reform, and deficit reduction. They got things done. Now, you have two sides pointing fingers at the other.
Modern liberalism is being dominated by the far left. We saw actual proof of that at the Democratic Convention, where just as many people voted "No" for putting "God" back into the platform. That isn't liberalism, that's radicalism. Democrats are Christians too, well, most of them are. So, take a look at who's controlling the media and the party. It's the fringe left, the Obama types. Partial birth abortion isn't "liberal", it's "radical". Redistribution of wealth isn't "liberal", it's "radical". Gay marriage isn't "liberal", it's "radical".
I know you are going to disagree with many of the examples I've given, but look at history of the Democratic Party. JFK didn't support "gay marriage", and yes, it was an issue then too. Clinton didn't support "gay marriage", and yes, it was an issue then too. JFK was A PRO-LIFE CATHOLIC DEMOCRAT! The party has shifted. JFK didn't go around apologizing for American exceptionalism, he stood up to the Russians in the Cuba Missile Crisis, and they backed down. He showed strength, not weakness. Bill Clinton didn't go around disparaging people's wealth the way Obama does. You never heard Clinton utter phrases like "spread the wealth around".
The party has changed. The left is something the vast majority of Americans dont recognize! We don't apologize for success, we don't apologize for free speech, we don't apologize for our strengths, and we don't apologize for our inherited Christian values. Yes, we are a melting pot. One that welcomes different view points, different religions, different politics. But that doesn't mean it changes WHO WE ARE as a nation. Obama is wrong. I can accept you for being a liberal. I can listen to you. I can agree with you on some things. That doesn't change WHO I AM. We can do all those things as a nation, but it doesn't change WHO WE ARE. Difference is, liberals have tried to change our history. It's a revisionist mentality of who we are as a nation. We aren't a nation who punishes wealth through an ever progressive tax system in order to redistribute wealth. We aren't a nation that aborts babies in the womb, we're a nation that feeds babies around the globe! We aren't a nation that trades liberty for security. We aren't a nation that doesn't stand up to terrorism and indecency. We are a nation that confronts evil, protects the natural rights of humans in all corners of the world, and stands firm as a friend to nations seeking freedom, liberty, peace, and prosperity. We aren't attacking foreign consulates and embassies over YouTube videos. We aren't beheading cartoonists who take a jab at Jesus Christ. We aren't hanging foreign soldiers from the Golden Gate Bridge.
We are not them! Your way of thinking diminishes this great country. It's like you are embarrassed, or even afraid to say, "Those Muslims over there need to be put in check". That's not an anti-Muslim statement. What they are doing is WRONG! Why is your side so afraid to say so?
If one of your children misbehaves, do you not correct them? If you don't, you are doing them a disservice. Do you not believe in discipline among your own children? The left seems to be like the parent who is afraid to bust their child's butt for misbehaving. Rational people observe your side and just shake our heads! It makes me wonder what your response would be if a burglar broke into your own house. Would you just try talking him out of robbing you? Or would you actually have the courage to defend your family and property? I bet you would. But when it comes to this country, liberals seem to want to apologize and empathize with our attackers, rather than swat them down and say, "nuh uh, you're not going to behave this way towards the United States, and if you do, you're going to be punished".
I say, take every single embassy, every single military base, troop, soldier, consulate, everything out of every single nation in the world. Along with it, all of the money we send foreign countries as well. Let them rot in their deserts. Let them starve in their slums. Let them fight their own plagues and wars. Let them get a taste of a world without America's mercy and kindness. Let them get a taste of a world where America doesn't protect their freedoms anymore. Let them experience a world where America isn't rushing in with food, medical supplies, clean water, vaccines, and money after a natural disaster. Let them experience a world of terrorism, murder, genocide, and piracy without an intervening force like America. Say goodbye to them. It would scare this world more than any military threat we've ever lobbed. Wash our hands of them, and say good bye.
If liberals truly believe WE are causing Muslims to hate us, then let's get out of there, take our tanks, our troops, and our dollar bills with us. No more war, no more embassies, no more military bases, no more foreign aid, no more financial assistance, no more disaster relief funds, no more money. Take it all, and come home. Let them have their corner of the world. But make it clear, that if any attack is made against this country, we won't be sending troops, but a fleet of bombers and drones. We wont spare any force, and we wont show any mercy. We will live by THEIR standards of war. Let them experience the world they are creating.....
