Is President Obama a Socialist?

So then you are saying that obama is not a socialist, and the line of attack where people call him a socialist and say he is going to make us all socialists is wrong? I just want to get some clarity here.

I am saying I did not call him a socialist and the burden of proof is on those that call him one.

But that really isn't the issue as this is another straw man argument and I have yet to see anyone say the government should not provide any services as you have asserted.
 
I don't need either so your assumption of my needs and rights is based on what???

That's what socialism is. In no way does the term imply the authoritarian nonsense you're spouting. :2wave:

The number of debates I've had as to whiter this guy is a Socialist is appalling. At some point people will learn that words have definitions... right? :shock:

It is. If you want to cite evidence to the contrary, then I welcome you to do so.

Your shctick of saying that nationalization = socialization is interesting as well. Out of context, that part of your argument sounds quite bad. So I'll give you an opportunity to clarify before invalidating your position.
