Is this what we want for another 4 years? Lies, broken promises of transparency, a complete lack of understanding of basic economics and more lies? As poor a choice as Mitt Romney is, isn't he a far better choice than this?

What's really strange is that they couldn't come up with a much better option. This is very telling about the overlords - they're all pretty lame and our prospects are poor.

Well, we know Obama is bad for the country. It's time to let someone else have a shot at it. If Romney doesn't do any better, then we need to primary his ass and vote him out, too.

IMHO Gary Johnson is 10 times the man that either Rombama or Obusha are. Yet, we'll give our votes to one of these 2 and never ask for more or better.

It's too bad that Specklebang For President never caught on.

Not nearly as unfortunte as "APDST for President" not catching on. :rofl

I would line some mother****ers out! Because I would already know that the odds of a second term would be slim and none, so I would let it all hang out.

I wish a Cain/Gingrich or Gingrich/Cain ticket would have come to pass.

The best I can do for now is offer you Secretary Of The Treasury. You'll clean up good, you can actually print your own retirement fund. Maybe in 2016?

Ha Ha Ha Have your infantile fun while it lasts. Only 57 days till Romney loses. tick tick tick

The really pathetic thing is...even someone as dumb as I am realized, before Obama became President, that this is the kind of guy we would have if he was elected. Yet, he got elected and he might get re-elected.

If Obama is re-elected, we are in for a world of hurt.

This video piece relies on pre-concieved talking points.

Not in depth discussion of facts.

Romney is more than just a bad choice - he has no stake in the game. His Presidency would be a going away party for the super-rich. They will suck as much money out of the economy before bailing on the U.S.A.

Let me ask you then... Of all the points made in the video, tell me the ones you DO NOT disagree with?

Here hazelnut, let me help you out. Let's start with the transparency claims.

On the transparency issue, do you dispute:
1. The number of whistle blowers prosecuted.
2. Changing meeting locations with lobbyists so they don't appear on the WH log.
3. Censoring internal E-mails on transparency.
4. Banned media from covering transparency award and left it off presidents public schedule.
5. Not allowing CSPAN to cover all the health care debates and negotiations.

Now there is a winning strategy: "our guy is goof, but he is not as goofy as the other guy".

Changing out the POTUS means another few years of on-the-job training and rookie mistakes. I don't think anyone is interested in making that kind of investment unless they believe the other is a solid alternative. You don't fire an incompetent guy in your office and replace him with any warm body, as there is a very good chance you will be moving backwards. Sorry, but the "Our guy is a goof" is not the way to go.

If the 2012 Republican convention revealed nothing else, it revealed the Regressives are not happy with their guy. If they actually thought they had a good candidate with a good shot of winning in 2012, the convention speakers would have spent more time praising the 2012 candidate and less time praising themselves as 2016 candidates.

BTW... the video is a complete waste of time. Its nothing but an extended "don't vote for Obama" commercial (and, of course, without the suggestion that you should even consider Romney).

Who is "our guy"? Romney is the alternative, he isn't my guy, our guy or anything else you want to imply other than a better choice than Obama.

Obama had zero executive branch experience, zero business experience and I've lost count how many "rookie mistakes" he has made. Romney has executive branch experience, executive business experience and he has a better understanding of economics than Obama will ever care or hope to have. Romney, as poor a choice as he is, is a solid alternative. Romney is more than a warm body, but that has nothing to do with this video.

I didn't watch the convention so I can't speak to this. But I did catch a bit of the Democratic convention and I saw a party that is being torn apart from the inside (the vote to amend the platform regarding God and Jerusalem), people tooting their own horns and Michelle Obama putting out a better speech than the President.

This video is Obama in his own words. Contradicting himself, lying and breaking promises he made in 2008 and beyond. I would think an honest assessment of the President in his own words without endorsing another candidate is a refreshing change of pace. Obama was not properly vetted in 2008 and the media has even admitted to this. All this video does is show what he's really all about.

Obama is a turd pie. Romney is a turd pie. The dems keep telling me their turd pie tastes less terrible and the republicans keep telling me their turd pie tastes less terrible. And my question in all of this is "why are people trying to give me turd pies?"

Kinda like Solyndra, GM and Light Squared? That Finnish car company? Loaning money to Petrobras? Killing American jobs? Like that, you mean?

Well, we're not sure how goofy Romney is. Granted, he's no Ronaldus Maximus, but we don't know where he rates. We know exactly how goofy Obama is.

We didn't mind the broken campaign promises of the last President, and he got 8 years.

So yes, I guess the American people don't mind a President who lies to them.

9/11 changed everything. Iraq very well may have been a mistake, but the "broken promises" that the video "exposed" are different from the broken promises of Obama. Now back to the topic of current events...

Is posting that tired "Bush lied" BS rather than addressing the topic of discussion, the only strategy you've got?

* NEWSFLASH *
George Bush is no longer president... Film at 11

Now, would you care to address Obama's record?

And yet they are broken promises nonetheless.

Look, I'm not saying that Obama hasn't broken promises. I'm saying that Presidents break promises when campaigning.

Which is why I think the presidential system of government, especially as we have it here in the United States, is greatly dysfunctional because we cannot hold our politicians to account for broken promises or even extreme policy changes.

Except this is my point, because you can't prove that Romney will stick to any of his campaign promises as President.

Especially considering the policies he advocated when he was running in the primary. Which was different than the policies he advocated in the 2008 campaign. Which was different than how he campaign for governor of Massachusetts.

So considering all the changes Romney's made throughout his political career, how can we trust him either.

Note, this isn't just about Obama or about Romney. All Presidential candidates do this. In fact, we expect them to. The old phrase is "run to your base in the primary, and then go moderate to get independents."

So on one hand we know that our Presidential candidates from both sides lie when campaigning and then when we elect him we surprise when we find out their campaign promises are lies?

No. That's bull****.

If all you really gave a **** about campaign lies then you'd demand a better Constitution to call them to account, such as a parliamentary system so we can have votes of no confidence to kick out both the legislature and the executive when they don't follow the will of the people.

But until I hear a hue and cry for a new, updated Constitution I'm going to take all this as the partisan bickering for what it is because both parties are doing this and it's not fair to blame one or the other for it.
