He continues to make politicians rue the day they decided to screw around with him back in the day.

Larry Flynt Offers $1 Million for Mitt Romney's Tax Returns
The Hustler publisher has taken out full-page ads in the Washington Post and USA Today announcing the proposal.

The Hustler magazine founder, editor and publisher announced that he is offering "up to a million dollars in cash" for the Republican presidential candidates "tax returns and/or details of his offshore assets, bank accounts and business partnerships," a statement reads.

The offer will be featured in a full-page ad taken out in the Sunday edition of The Washington Post and the Tuesday edition of USA Today.

“What is he hiding?” Flynt asks. “Maybe, now, we’ll find out.”

The ad will include a telephone hotline and e-mail tip line where anyone with information on the elusive financial documents can share what they know.

What's interesting is that this hacker group just recently claimed to have stolen Romney's tax returns and was ransomoing them off for $1 million. I'm betting they are FOS and just trying to get money. This will show if they did or not. I'm betting not.

You understand that Romney is a private citizen right?

You understand I'm not doing this right?

I think it's deplorable. Being able to put a bounty on what amounts to private information just shows to what lengths Democrats will do to disenfranchise the American people. He makes me sick on general principle anyhow.

It's time Republicans put a bounty out on Obama's college records. Let's see all those socialist classes he taught. How he filled out his application. How many student loans he really got. And how many scholarship grants he got because he said he was Kenyan. Those things can be the only reason he refuses to release that information.

Larry Flynt isn't a lover of democrats. He despises both parties and has gone after both parties with bounties in the past. Both parties targetted him really hard and he pulls no punches. He generally goes after those who tend to make claims of being more holy than thou art.

Larry Flynt has the morals of an alley cat, and tarring every Democrat in the country with his bad behavior is unfair.

No, speaking as a Republican, I am horrified that people have spent so much time trying to dig out dirt from Obama's young adult years. I presume this data is private and that's why it hasn't been released up until now.

Can't you see the hypocrisy in blasting Democrats for a violation of privacy attempt, while urging Republicans to do the very same thing?

BTW, I think the custom for presidential candidates is to release the previous 5 years' tax returns. If Romney has done this, the issue should be laid to rest. If not, he should -- but IRS records are private and what Flynt is doing is propositioning the public to commit a crime.

Nobody should applaud that.

I disagree totally with Larry Flynt's actions in this. If he does not want to release the tax returns, whatever the message this gives to the voters, it is still up to Romney and nobody has the right to make that decision for him. And rewarding people for breaking the law to get them should also be illegal and if he gets any, Flynt should be prosecuted for it.

If Larry Flynt wasn't such a scimbag, no one would have messed with him.

There isn't any "custom". McCain releasd 2 years when he ran. Obama released 7 years. The last time tax records became any kind of issue was in 2004 when Kerry released 2 years. However he released his taxes every time he ran for the Senate. So the republicans asked to see the returns for his wife who filed seperatley. She had inherited a half billion dollars from the Heinz estate when her husband was killed in a plane crash. She eventually released the first 2 pages of her 2003 returns.

This is just a publicity stunt for Flynt. His million dollars is quite safe and he knows that.

Can anyone really imagine Romney taking that millions dollars? I mean it has much chance happening as having Mrs Romney disrobe for Flynt for million bucks.

how many years of tax returns did romney's father disclose?
answer to follow
here is george's quote:
"Release of the document, while it might serve a political purpose, would not prove very much, he argued. One year could be a fluke, perhaps done for show, and what mattered in personal finance was how a man conducted himself over the long haul."

He ordered up all the Form 1040's that he and Mrs. Rome had filed over the past twelve years — including those profitable ones from when he saved the American Motors Company from bankruptcy and became a millionaire on the company's stock options."

seems his father deliberated this very issue ... and chose to do the opposite of his son

Do you know what was one of the greatest tragedies in greater Cincinnati's history.

A racist piece of scum names Joseph Paul Franklin ambushed two teenage (14 and 13) black boys in my home town. He shot them from an overpass in the dusk with poor light. The two boys were slightly built but he fatally hit both of these boys while waiting to shoot a racially mixed couple.

Yet he couldn't make a clean hit on a fat pig like Larry Flynt (and he has never been convicted of that despite his confession)

Flynt's a pimp.

Since he hasnt gone after the guy currently in the White House, who is a master of holier than thou, your analysis of Flynt's tactics seems a bit off the mark.

The bounty I recall from the past was $1,000,000 for anyone who can produce evidence of a sexual encounter with a high ranking government official or a member of congress.

You really think Obama plays holier than thou? come on...

Do you really think if someone presented Flynt with dirt on Obama, he would use it? come on...

the guy has the guts to act on his beliefs
effectively pushed back porno laws
served honorably in the army and navy
bought and concealed the naked photos of jessica lynch, effectively protecting her from unwanted exposure
i can see why you would not like him

You might never have seen a copy of "Hustler" back in the day, but I was married, and I did. This was no off-shoot of "Playboy". This was some of the meanest, most degrading anti-woman crap I have ever seen.

I don't care what your POV might be on the First Amendment or on porn; "Hustler" was nothing less than a direct attack on our nation's civility. Like Turtle, I regret that Flynt survived.

Absoeffinlutely.

2009--"I won"
Since 2011 hes been whining about bipartisanship. The only reason this guy would reach across the aisle is to put a knife into someone (politically, before anyone hyperventilates that into a literal meaning).

I dont care for Flynt. Im just saying Rob's analysis of what makes him tick is false.

Aside from the fact that I don't agree with your analysis... when I say holier than thou I meant holier than thou. Those politicians that preach from Washington about religious family values and such while obviously not practicing what they preach.

O, I agree. If Flynt had photos of Obama or any other celebrity or politician in a compromising position, he'd publish them in a New York minute.

It's preposterous to think he has anything even approaching an ideology other than making money from creating and feeding the basest, most sadistic appetites around.

I was hoping after Bush got in office he would have made Flynt "go away"
