Clint Eastwood - big success!

Actually, i don't know his plan. Could you tell us what it is with some references? I have heard he has a plan. i have heard them say he won't release it until we elect him. I have heard the supposed results of the mystery plan. I have never heard the legislation he plans to put forth in order to create jobs and improve the economy.

just trust him

Clint Eastwood's appearance at the RNC was a big success. He covers many generations of fans, felt no reservations about poking fun of Obama and in endorsing Mitt Romney. The RCN crowd loved him and the only thing that matters to independents is that Clint Eastwood endorses Romney.
Clint Eastwood for Romney is to independents what Oprah was to Obama in his primary contest with Hillary.

A rather interesting take.....

Now, see?

This is what I was talking about...you using your name, here.

1. Romney's plan is a blueprint. You won't find any details there...just like you won't find any details in Obama's plan, if he had one.

Actually, we do have a few ideas of what obama will do specifically because he has been doing things. i also might add he has been doing them quite well considering we have seen much more hiring and a better overall economy. get rid of obama reallty is not a blueprint for making the economy better considering it has been ****ty many times without obama in office, and it is improving with him in office. Obama just doesn't seem to be the problem here, and Romney needs something real. i also do not see much profit in deporting mexicans, stopping gays from marrying, eliminating abortions, redefining rape, and throwing grandma under the bus. The last one might have been very profitable for mitt considering he inherited a lot, but unless the US has a rich grandmother who wrotwe us into her will I don't see how killing old people is going to help much.
2. The fact that Romney's plan greatly coincides with the Congressional Republican's direction means that all of the various parts have a chance to be passed...and work to solve a lot of our problems, not just jobs. If the Congressional Democrats had a direction...and if that direction coincided with the plan Obama doesn't have...then someone could make a thread asking what Obama's plan is. Kind of like you did about Romney.

You are already making excuses for his plan failing? I understand that you want us all to blindly follow every republican thing as if it were the word of jesus himself. I just do not see how the economy is going to fail if we continue to give women abortions and birth control, let gays marry, or fail to execute any of the non-economic parts of the republican plan.

I would prefer a plan based on real economic ideas that has a chance to promote the development of business and hiring. If his plan relies on making the US a mormon country then perhaps we should just shuffle the old dude off the stage and look for someone with a real plan.
Anyway, you have a whole thread to talk about what you don't know about Romney. You should get back to Clint in this one, eh?

Oh, you know Mittens personally? Somehow i doubt he would let you within 100 yards of the property line of his country clubs. You seem to be under the mistaken impression that romney wouldn't sell you for a nickel given the opportunity.

A few campaign appearances by Kelsey Grammar should clinch it for the GOP this year.

I liked what Eastwood said about politicians being our employees because they ARE our servants and too often they--and we--forget that. I also liked his saying that every four years politicians come around and it's the same old deal, but what matters is that we remember who we, the American people, are.

You know, tererun, these two quotes of yours illuminate a few things about you:

1. You should learn to respond to points made instead of tossing stuff against the wall to see what sticks.

2. If you must toss stuff, at least make it stuff that makes sense and is not hyperbolic liberal talking points because if one of them sticks, it will at least matter.

3. You should use a little of what the guy I was talking to uses as a forum name.

As a dem I personally thought he was the highlight of the show. I can't hate on the man at all even if I don't fully agree.

I like Eastwood's support for abortion rights, and for gay marriage.

It looked a tad wacky and desperate to me. But then, I suppose it's a stage further on from the wacky Palin, who was actually No2 in the Gop, during the last race for the White-house.

Some are equating it to Kenny Everett's appearance at the Conservative Party conference and his let's 'Bomb Russia' routine

At least Everett's was kind of funny...

The crowd's baying was very similar, those cons love being spoonfed ideas.

The GOP is notorious for running weak national campaigns and often makes the mistake of allowing Demos to control the campaign.

Shortly before the election, a snippet of Clint Eastwood's presentation should be used in ads: "When someone hasn't gotten the job done in 4 years it's time to let him go." Eastwood is not a politician nor has a reputation as a partisan or political hack. His opinion is worth more than 100 fellow Republican politicians.
