The Republicans' 2012 Teleprompted Convention

For those who watched Mitt Romney's speech on the last day of the Republican National Convention last night, there is a reason that he stumbled over his words a few times. He did not have his speech sitting on a music stand, where he could read it as he spoke. Teleprompters are very overrated. Now is the time for music stands to retake their rightful place in this world. Whether used on stage by musicians, for speeches by politicians, or as an implement to put out fires with, music stands have been part of, not only American culture, but part of every culture in the world, yesterday, today, and yes, even tomorrow, as far as you know.

Therefore, each year, let the day before Labor Day be known as Music Stand Appreciation Day. Why? Because you don't know what you have until it is gone. Just ask Mitt Romney.

A music stand is a terrible thing to waste.

Yep, I guess we can start calling Romney the Republican Tandidate for president.
