As for Romney's speech... I thought it was pretty boring...

My wife fell asleep in first 5 minutes... I had trouble keeping focused... it was just so monotone and boring.

All the talking heads were saying afterward... "Romney has shown his human side". I was thinking, "did they see same speech I did?"

For someone who wants to be Commander in chief, you would think he'd mention the 100k troops in harms way in Afghanistan. Not 1 mention of the deployed troops, but he sure seems eager to send them to Iran.

And in the Romney video they played earlier... He said his great grandfather moved to Mexico as a "Refugee". WTF? His great grandfather fled to Mexico from the USA because he was a polygamist, that would make him a criminal, not a refugee. I think Mitt should have just skipped that bit of family history, rather than lie about it.

Conventions are always boring to me, nothing new, nothing uprising, no disagreement anywhere about anything, everyone just gets up there and puts down the opponent and talks about their guy like he's the second coming of Christ. This goes for both parties obviously.

But I swear to God if I hear "We built it" one more time I'm going to slap someone.

I think it was good. There were plenty of speakers during the first day that were actually boring and flat: numerous moments in each speech where the crowd was supposed to applaud but didn't, where the speaker started to talk quieter, etc.
