Like the title says no matter who wins the November election is it their job to oversee the decline of U.S. power? I found this question being discussed on AJE's show the Café. I personally feel that the might well happen and being Canadian we kind of want it to happen because we want to replace you.

Realistically you are 4 years too late with this suggestion (or AJE's Cafe with the suggestion)

It was the winner of the 2008 election who was to see the decline of the US. It was definately not as big as I thought it was going to be, but that is more of a result of the action of the Fed and federal government taking the stimulus to levels I did not think would be possible

Now, perhaps, but we can build it we have the technology, and we can subcontract the actual manufacture to the Chinese, have it manned by Indians, and have the worlds largest navy on the cheap
