Mitt and his Costco shirts fool America?

Who gives a flying crap where any politician buys his/her clothes at?
This is what our criticism has been reduced to?
well if one is a hard core Obama supporter you better talk about shirts and underwear and dog transport etc because if you have to talk about the competence of your master and his administration its gonna be a long night

Oddly, my sister and brother in law(who qualify as rich) do shop at Costco, and Sams(and even Wallmart, which is lower class than I will go).

Seriously...a politician pandering at a stop like that is worth a thread complaining about it? Is this the best you can do?

we sure do. My wife buys 95% of the stuff we use in the home comes from Krogers (the store brand) and COSTCO. I drive used cars for at least 150K miles. While I buy BB shirts (because the last the longest) I buy them at an outlet mall. Its true of lots of people I know in my income group. My father never drove a car worth more than what would be considered an average middle class car-normally something like a basic Pontiac or Buick sedan. No mercedes, no BMW, no Audi or Lincoln.

its far more common than many think

Yep,
Actually there are a few down to earth republicans, but it's not my fault your party nominated an awkward gump like Romney!

sure beats an affirmative action poster child with a seething sense of entitlement coupled with a dislike of America as it currently exists

Yes, it's about the level of intelligence we have in politics these days.

between that and Biden's "y'all" and chains gaffe, i wonder who, if anyone, is advising these people. i mean, did they seriously think people are going to watch that and say "holy ****, i shop at cosco, too! he is a regular guy!"

It's funny watching politicians since the 80's and early 90's shopping to look like they relate to the average man crap every since the George Bush debacle of being blown away in fascination by the scanner at the grocery store.

Nope

I don't drink-especially that overpriced French pee

I don't have a gold American Express card

Hey now, we are not all Asuka fans...

Some of us are smarter than that.

Cite.....your Obama hatred makes you so uninformed and infantile.

I don't hate Obama-I noted I don't know him. I think he is an incompetent failure as a president. he might be fine as a law school lecturer or a basketball coach at some prep school.

Next big faux outrage: "Mitt Romney says he prefers TMobile to Verizon! Anti-American sentiment noted!"

What nonsense.

I was waiting for a charge of anti semitism for suggesting a law school lecturer

I thought the Messiah was good at hoops (as opposed to bowling where he rolled what-a 39!)

Can Mitt fool America with Cosco shirts? Sure, why not? Obama fooled 'em with homeandchange, didn't he?

I thought it was hype and Chains

Now it is Hoping for Change

Well...my party wont garner but a few percentage points. Im a registered libertarian and we probably wont do all that well. So unfortunately we will be stuck with the elected representatives people like you select. Considering you spend so much time worried about Romneys clothes, hairstyles, and any and everything BUT the things that actually matter in this country I would say...well...in advance...congrats...you and yours have managed to continue to **** over the country in the name of mindless partisan politics. Not to worry though...its the grandkids that will be the ones left to pay for your choices. Well done. You voted over clothing brands and ironing.

This is really funny is a sad and pathetic sort of way.

Mitt Romney irons clothes and shops at Costco - Chicago Sun-Times

So Mitt Romney expects us to believe that he is happy wearing a bunch of shirts from Costco that together probably cost 90% less than a pair of shoes he wears.

And this is suppose to get him over as just an average guy...... the equal of the infamous "hockey mom" from four years ago perhaps?

I shop at Costco. I buy lots of stuff at Costco. Too much stuff at Costco at times. But if I had Mittens money, shirts would not be one item on my list there.

I really don't think this is going to fool anybody. Do you.

?? I don't know why you wouldn't believe him...that they shop at Costco, anyway. They aren't Gods, for heaven's sake. Costco's a cool store. I can afford Nordstrom's, but I buy clothes there once in a while.

Maybe that's the reason some people have "problems" with the rich. They completely forget that they put their pants on one leg at a time just like everybody else.

People sure do stretch to find criticisms.

Wait a minute, this guy goes around insulting small town bakeries ( these cookies don't look home baked they look like they came from 7 11 ). And NASCAR fans ( fancy raincoats you people spring for the big bucks) give me one of those chocolate ....goodies ( pointing to a donut) ..mitt is an awkward duck who " guffaws" instead of laughs , some of us see him as strange! Something as simple as a trip to Costco is so unusual and foreign to the Romneys that THEY made a point of mentioning it in their fox interview. To act like it's totally irrelevant is throwing on your partisan blinders!

I think what's worse than the idea that some people, hopefully very few people, elect the president based on whether he shops at a middle class store, is that our politicians think that the average everyday person is stupid enough to be swayed by them shopping at a middle class store.

Romney isn't doing anything that every other candidate hasn't done, he is just really bad at getting people to believe him. Everytime he goes somewhere and says something like "I love the trees here..." or "I had a great hot dog down the street" he sounds like he's going to start breaking down crying and begging people to vote for him. "What do you want me to say? I'll punch myself in the nuts for your vote, please?"

Sadly, this is what envy does to people. I've know several millionares in my life. Most of which, would wear similar garb as me when I interacted with them. T-shirt, shorts and flip flops.

I think the weirdest part of that statement is that he really expects us to believe that Ann Romney goes to Costco and knows where the clothing section is. She's probably seen the exit for it and dropped off one of her maids to do the shopping. I'm not even fabulously rich (I'm upper middle class) and I can't remember the last time I actually went to buy clothes at any big box store.

However it's inconsequential. We're at that stage of the race where everyone pretends to be poor.

It would be more interesting to hear where Obama bought his coke while attending Columbia. Wonder if he sent Holder to arrest whomever was his dealer.

Why would they even mention where he buys his shirts anyway??? It is obvious they are trying to pretend they are just like you and me. It makes you look like a fool when you try to pretend to be a commoner when sitting in front of one of your multi million dollar home.

It reminds me of people who like to mention they have a friend who is black,, sure.

And they probably wipe their ass with toilet paper like you and I. But do they go to extra length to let you know they bought a pair of flip flops at a Target? Why would that be needed?
