Wrong. Richard Armitage leaked the name. Armitage claimed it was by accident, quoting Novak here:
For nearly the entire time of his investigation, Fitzgerald knew — independent of me — the identity of the sources I used in my column of July 14, 2003. That Fitzgerald did not indict any of these sources may indicate his conclusion that none of them violated the Intelligence Identities Protection Act.... In my sworn testimony, I said what I have contended in my columns and on television: Joe Wilson's wife's role in instituting her husband's mission was revealed to me in the middle of a long interview with an official who I have previously said was not a political gunslinger. After the federal investigation was announced, he told me through a third party that the disclosure was inadvertent on his part. Following my interview with the primary source, I sought out the second administration official and the CIA spokesman for confirmation. I learned Valerie Plame's name from Joe Wilson's entry in "Who's Who in America."

Now for Isikoff from Newsweek:
The next day, a team of FBI agents and Justice prosecutors investigating the leak questioned the deputy secretary. Armitage acknowledged that he had passed along to Novak information contained in a classified State Department memo: that Wilson's wife worked on weapons-of-mass-destruction issues at the CIA... [William Howard Taft IV, the State Department's legal adviser] felt obligated to inform White House counsel Alberto Gonzales. But Powell and his aides feared the White House would then leak that Armitage had been Novak's source — possibly to embarrass State Department officials who had been unenthusiastic about Bush's Iraq policy. So Taft told Gonzales the bare minimum: that the State Department had passed some information about the case to Justice. He didn't mention Armitage. Taft asked if Gonzales wanted to know the details. The president's lawyer, playing the case by the book, said no, and Taft told him nothing more. Armitage's role thus remained that rarest of Washington phenomena: a hot secret that never leaked

I see the libs have managed to derail this thread, they REALLY don't want to talk about this video and that validates my opinion that this is going to have a huge impact on obama.

They dont want the leaks story to be discussed very heavily. It portrays the current adminsitration as opportunists that dont like military solutions but more than willing to take credit for them when they work.

Armitage claimed it was by accident? Well, I guess if you believe that then you must also be giving the Obama white house the benefit of the doubt when they say that they didn't leak any intel on purpose either. Right?

For the millionth time, my point is this: WE LIVE IN THE AGE OF INFORMATION! Look at your calendar folks. Every 13 year old in America has more technology at their fingertips today than the most sophisticates spies had at theirs just 30 years ago! More stuff gets leaked today than 10 or 20 years ago simply because it is easier for people to leak stuff. Its called modern technology folks.

Actually, it was Richard Armitage that told Bob Woodward that Valerie Plame worked for the CIA and Woodward reported it.

It wasn't the Bush White House, but rather the Powell State Department.

However, Armitage was never questioned, once. Wonder why that is...

The swift-boaters were absolutely lying and have been discredited. Why do you think the term "swift-boating" has become synonomous with political propoganda/lying for a political purpose? The swift-boaters brought shame and dishonor to the military.....these guys are doing the same thing. Its sad that people bring dishonor and a bad name to the military that the overwhelming number serve with honor and dignity.

The Swiftboat thing didnt sink John Kerry. John Kerry lost for the same reason that RINO Romney is going to lose: Cuz he's a wanker, a spineless flip flopping turd. His word means nothing. One day he is for it, the next he is against it, his position changes with whatever way the winds of popular opinon blows it.
If something good can come out of Romney getting the nomination it will be that he will get creamed in the general election - far worse than what Kerry got beat by. Hopefully worse than what McCain got whipped by. And that will show the Repubican Party the cost for putting up a panzy etch-a-sketch windbag!!!
