A household making $50,000 saved $3,600 in taxes during President Obama’s first term. What about yours?

But he added 4 trillion in debt, which has to be paid back with taxes. Thats $13000 in addition taxes for every single american. $57,000 if you only count people who pay income tax. So the average household of four people now has to pay an extra $50,000 in taxes throughout their life just to pay for 4 years of Barack Obama. And hes proposed adding another 10 trillion over the next 10 years, so add another $100,000. But hey, it could be worse by $3600.

Unless of course we raise taxes on the rich...
...or if we get rid of the Big Oil company subsidies...
...and make much neded cuts in government spending from the Department of Defence to the State Department...
...And of course auditing the FED...

We could take 100% of the income of everyone making over a million a year and it would do nothing to fix the debt or the deficit. Thats a BS talking point that has no basis in fact.

oil companies do not get subsidies, they get to write off (not pay taxes on) exploration and development expenses

cuts to govt agencies--yes, we agree

audit the fed---yes, we agree.

He didn't 'save' me anywhere near that amount. So his $3600 comment is a straight up lie.

Do you HONESTLY think that if all the Mitt Romney's of America paid 25% income tax instead of 13% the US would not have increased revenue?!? I've heard of fuzy math before, but this beats the cake!!!

of course that would increase revenue. But not enough to make any difference. One study said it would pay the government's bill for 8 days. Taxing the rich may make good talking points and help with obama's class warfare strategy, but won't solve the country's financial problems.

As I've pointed out to you before -- with actual facts and not BS talking points like yours -- taking the total income of the top 1% would completely eliminate the deficit and result in a small surplus. Why do you keep repeating lies that have been proven to be lies?

Link to empirical data?

got anything to back up that claim, or is that just what you want to believe?

now, let just think about that for a moment. If we take the entire incomes of the top 1% what would happen? stock market crash, bank failures, business bankruptsies, huge job losses.

I know that you on the left hate successful people, but you just don't understand how our economy works.

There aren't any oul company subsidies. Ya'll need to find something to harp about that actually exists.

Mitt paid 13%? Is that the newest piece of propaganda?

But he didnt. The money is already borrowed and spent. His name is on every appropriation since he took office, about 14 trillion dollars, of which 4 trillion is borrowed, and taxpayers have to pay back.

That would work for a year, then all the rich people would stop earning taxable income. Or at least go back to what they were paying before. Laffer curve.

The problem is every time he makes a speech he lies and the liberals believe it for example in his last speech he jumped all over the congress for not passing a farm bill (sucking up to the farmrs in Iowa) but he failed to mention the HOR has passed a farm bill and Harry "Dingy" Reid has tabled it in the Senate and won't let it go to the floor for a vote............There are 100 bills in the senate just like that.

The House has NOT passed the farm bill. That is a lie.

Yea I'm sure when the crew was going down with the Titanic the last words they uttered were "If we only raised taxes on the rich ... "

This is the problem with the left. They don't have any real solutions, so they want to raise taxes in an economy with 1.5% GDP growth (and slowing), 5 trillion in new debt, and 15% Real Unemployment.

What could possibly go wrong?

Exactly, truth be told the big bad oil companies make about 10 cents on a gallon of gas.

The House has NOT passed the farm bill. That is a lie.

Read it and weep my far out left wing friend. Get your facts straight before you call someone a liar..........

Obama falsely attacks Paul Ryan over farm bill

The latest adventure from Barack Obama’s truth-challenged campaign took place in Iowa, where the President accused Rep. Paul Ryan, vice presidential candidate on the Republican ticket, of being “one of those leaders in Congress standing in the way” of a farm bill that would “provide relief and certainty to U.S. farmers and ranchers.”

“So, if you happen to see Congressman Ryan, tell him how important this farm bill is to Iowa and our rural communities. It’s time to put politics aside and pass it right away,” the President urged Iowa voters.

Which is a nice sound bite… except for the fact that the House of Representatives passed the farm bill. The Senate, which is controlled by do-nothing Harry Reid and the Democrats, decided to blow out of Washington without voting on it.

Here's my exact response to Bobcat the last time he made this bogus claim. He didn't respond then, either. He just repeats the same lie.

So if you took the 1.325 trillion from the top 1%, how exactly will that cover the 3.7 trillion our government spends in a year?

Wow, are you really going to try that? What I said is that it would completely elminate the DEFICIT -- projected to be $1.2 trillion this year -- and produce a small surplus. And in fact that is exactly what it would do.

The House has NOT passed the farm bill. That is a lie.

The House passed a farm relief bill before you were born, boy! Git off the farm bill bull****!
