What matters to YOU?

What matters to the Velvet Elvis:
1. The economy (and more to the point...the protection of the free market from the neo-fascists)
2. National security (including an image of strength toward our enemies, and not one of apathy)
3. Self-responsibility for citizens, and weaning them off the Imperial Government's teat.

What Velvet Elvis doesn't give a fig about:
1. Abortion. If you don't want one...don't have one. STFU.
2. Economic "fairness." There's plenty of opportunity in the USA. What you do with it is your choice, and you should live with the consequences of your decision.
3. Alternate fuels. They ain't coming anytime soon...deal with it. In the meantime, use the energy we have in our soil. Tell the hippies to go pound sand.

I know the definition, now that you do I'm surprised you still think he's a socialist...

You still buy healthcare from private insurance companies...you don't buy it from the gov't...

Do you know why the USPS is bankrupt?

"Congress, in a 2006 law, required the Postal Service to make annual payments to fund 75 years' worth of future retiree health benefits in 10 years. So far, the agency has paid more than $21 billion into a special fund for these obligations.Congress allowed the Postal Service to delay the $5.5 billion payment in 2011. Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe has said the agency will not be able to make its payment in 2012. Critics of the requirement say most of the agency's $25 billion in losses in the past five years was due to the payments. A bill in the Senate would spread the payments over a longer time, though many lawmakers want to end the prefunding. Others argue the payments are needed to protect taxpayers from having to bail out Postal Service benefits down the road.

The gov't does not control the means of production or distribution of GM or AIG..they are still run as public entities...

Isn't all of that public knowledge? Doesn't sound very "Stealth"...I think you're a little paranoid...

Fine, take the word Stealth out, wow, way to nit pick. Obama is a Socialist by definition. He wants to takes control of businesses, regulates excessively, he "Socialized" healthcare in America and if you can't see that, I can't help you.

1 Stop Obama's assault on God and religion.
2. Pass a responsible Energy policy that is not extreme in either direction
3. Unite this country, do not divide the country
4. Replace Obamacare with a responsible health care plan that is NOT government run.....if you cant, than keep Obamacare
5. Get rid of "Executive Orders"

If our country had a decent energy policy this economy would turn on a dime. Get the environmental wackos out of way. We can have a responsible energy policy and enviromentally friendly without going to an extreme.

Government is not the answer, look what they have done with Social Security and Medicare, now you what them to run Healthcare. Are you serious?

In all my years I have never seen a more divisive President than Obama

Obama is bad in so many ways but his lack of knowledge about our economy is shocking. He does not have a clue.

NIT PICK? Are you kidding? Stealth was YOUR word and your entire point...

Do you send a check to the gov't every month for your health insurance?

Here you go Nate, read these, I don't have time to convince you of facts, so I'll just source them.

Oh, last thing, if you DON'T have insurance, the Government pays for you, that was the whole point of Obamacare, 44 million were without so Socialist Obama decided to have the Government protect them from themselves with "Socialized Medicine"

I used to prefer Romney simply because I knew Obama was and still is not right for this country, not right for democracy, and not right for liberty. Now, after really delving into Romney-Ryan policies and ideas I truly like Romney for Romney. What matters most to me, and I assume most Americans is the economy. Romney's record in business and private sector accomplishments is astonishing and I think right now what America needs is a leader with experience in business and someone who is not a stranger to success. I could go on, because most everything matters to me and there is not much that I do not have an opinion on, but this election is going to be decided over the economy. No if and's or buts. Lastly I would say, and most Americans agree with me, when it comes to the economy Romney is clearly the better choice. Fiscal responsibility vs. exorbitant unchecked spending coupled with failure in most other areas of policy. You decide

Another nice collection of wingnut propoganda.

Actually, those people could already get medical care, albeit quite inefficiently, at any emergency room in the country -- courtesty of Socialist Reagan.

It's far more basic for me.

I think that no major needed changes will come no matter which is elected. But Obama has had 4 years and proven he is not as smart as everyone things, and is not a leader in any fashion. This combined with being in a state that could go either way, I have to go for the new guy, even though I think overall it won't matter much.

Good post. Well stated. I don't disagree with much of what you say. See you at the polls here in our fabulous state.

Ah, I see you reside in the same state. Hopefully this year the state goes differently. Hard to say, the big population centers on the front range skew the results.

It's Denver and Boulder against the rest of the state. Pueblo will be interesting. Turnout and suburban women are key.

Eh, I don't like any of those big front range cities... all they want to do is take take take from the mountains and western slope. Bunch of greedy fools in my book.
