I like Chicago a lot -- I visit it when I can, I study on its history, I think it influences art and architecture around me, yada, yada yada.

But controlling the nation's politics?

That goes too far, even for me.
 
Yes, that's American politics. We're not a Meritocracy. We're an out of control "Democracy". The Citizens United decision was a 2 way street. Unlimited falsehoods drilled into the sheep's heads by repetition.

Listen, overall Romney is polling within a few percentage points of Obama in most polls, certainly according to Gallup and the RCP averages so the idea that Obama is "winning" is ridiculous... this election is still up for grabs.

Secondly why can't you take responsibility for your candidate? He's an unexciting candidate who has yet to truly reveal himself to the American voting public, I know he's biding his time til he can go full campaign mode after the Convention with his VP, that's when polls will truly reflect what the American people think of the candidates.

And if he loses in November, I really hope partisans like you will take responsibility for the fact that you chose a lousy candidate which Romney is, he's what you settled on, best of a bad lot this time around (minus Huntsman who was the best candidate from either side to run this cycle).

All in all he is consistently within range of Obama some days on Gallups rolling average he is actually a point or two ahead so your whining about the Liberal Media this and Liberals that is nothing but juvenile whining.

If you look at it as a means to depress turnout to control the outcome, then yes they are winning. The dirtier this campaign gets the less people will care about who gets elected.

BUT...its not even convention time yet.

They play as large a role in hat as anyone. It is false to suggest only one person or one administration or one party is to balme for that. Blame would even include people not in government. But, whenever republicans aren't doing well, it's the media's fault. Buck up and hold yourselves accountable for your poor perfromance.

You mean like voter ID laws where there is no evidence of voter fraud? Seems both sides try to suppress voter turn out, and not just with dirty political ads. The things is, this complaint of yours is a pot to kettle type of comment.

Does anyone think its OK that the media blatantly takes sides and reinforces the lies of those they support? not a right or left question, since both sides do it. I am asking if any of you think thats the way we should elect our leaders.

Shouldn't journalists and reporters tell the truth? Is if OK that they attempt to brainwash their viewers?

One person is responsible for the current economic climate in this country

Barack Obama

5 trillion he has spent within 4 years and we're sitting at 15% Real Unemployment.

He should resign in disgrace. He had license to do anything he wanted within the first 2 years of his presidency.

He massively raised taxes on the poor and middle class with Obamacare which is also directly responsible for the slow in hiring.

Spent almost a trillion with a failed Stimulus that was a massive payoff to his campaign cronies that has further wreaked destruction upon the economy.

Is trying to destroy the coal industry, costing jobs and contributing to skyrocketing energy prices. Blocked Keystone which costs jobs.

His GM bailout was a total disaster. The stock has fallen to half it's value when he took it over and they still owe the US Taxpayer 40 billion.

Lowest LFPR in decades

More people on food stamps than ever before

Rampant crony socialism with green energy scams that paid out massively to foreign corporations (OUTSOURCED JOBS WITH TAXPAYER MONEY)

Millions of children living in extreme poverty

Decline in median income

I could go on and on, but we both know you don't care. None of the facts and raw economic data which is real human suffering and misery out there doesn't resonate with you. Why? Because you've brainwashed into a Hope and Change cult.

off topic, but why do you object to proving who you are before being allowed to cast your ballot? You had to have proof of identity to register to vote, whats the problem with showing the same ID when voting?
