A tax is a tax. They are the same thing just carried out by different powers (federal, state, city). All help people out even those "bums" you seem to hate and want to leave the country.

Spoken like someone who has never taken a history or a civics class. Your vision of this country is exactly the opposite of the Founders. Before getting out of school please take a history class and learn about our Founders. A tax by definition of the word tax is the same but it was created to fund a different function. You need to learn that function. Why you want a large central govt. for 310 million people is beyond comprehension. What does a bureaucrat in D.C.know about a problem in your city in Kansas? Whose role is it to help people in your community a bureaucrat in D.C?
