Mitt Romney didn’t pay taxes for 10 years [W:41/368/472]

Is this what TD means by suckling at the teat?

The wealthy people who bend the tax code and get out of paying any tax, all the while investing the market that benefits from a partnership with big government.

And then those same wealthy people funnel money out of the U.S.

America, America...

Oh come on, Harry Reid has an excellent and reliable source for this - some guy on the phone called him and told him so. Rock solid case, right there.

Just think - Harry Reid wouldn't be in office right now if the Republican primary voters in Nevada hadn't pick a paranoid, senile old cat lady as a candidate.

It is possible to make money and not pay taxes -- actually you eventually pay something, but just at a better rate. Of course if you're earning interest in a Swiss Bank, you don't pay taxes on that.

It's an accusation based on an unnamed source with no evidence presented. I'm not going to be bothered by something that probably isn't even true. Give me some evidence and then I'll form an opinion.
 
I won't believe it until tax returns are released, because I just don't like believing stuff like this based on anonymous sources and "he said- she said" type allegations, but I do think it is yet another reason for Romney to release those returns.

You think it might be true apropos of nothing. That's a conspiracy theory. Granted it's about something fairly mundane, but it's still a conspiracy theory.

“Where the problem is, is this: Because of the Citizens United decision, Karl Rove and the Republicans are looking forward to a breakfast the day after the election,” Reid said. “They are going to assemble 17 angry old white men for breakfast, some of them will slobber in their food, some will have scrambled eggs, some will have oatmeal, their teeth are gone. But these 17 angry old white men will say, ‘Hey, we just bought America. Wasn’t so bad. We still have a whole lot of money left.’”

Correct me if I am wrong, but he says he feels "comfortable" in the senate but that independent groups.... not republicans are tipping the balance toward the republicans. And please God tell me that our Senate majority leader has more class than the slobber in their food no teeth comments....

In Parallel Universe 3733, Mitt Romney was born as a Thalidomide baby. He's been on SSI his entire life. However, this election is located in Parallel Universe 2012 so the OP may not be accurate.

Reid on the other hand is one of the most respected men in DC. You wouldn't know that if you only get your information from right wing media.

Even with just %14, there was no issue getting the nomination. If he didn't break any law, the tax issue really is just another birther issue. If I was his adviser, I say, if their clean, release them all. Even with a 5% effective rate, that'll give Obama nothing but a big foot in his mouth assuming everything was by the book.

The ducking and dodging is entertainment, but why allow this to be a talking point?

Reid is not going to convince any conservative and likely very few independents of anything. He's as partisan as they come. Mitt on the other hand may just duck and dodge his way into a guilty plea by default.

Though this is fun to watch, I'd rather see the campaigns get away from this gotcha crap and get back to explaining and expanding on the different ideals being presented. I know that's asking for too much.....
