2/3rds of Registered Voters Think Obama's Policies Contributed to Economic Downturn

Re: 2/3rds of Registered Voters Think Obama's Policies Contributed to Economic Downt

And you have a penchant for inexactitude.

I shall try and remember that about you going forward and not take your posts as seriously.

Have a nice day.

Nothing I said is controvesial or out of line. I'm not sure you understand it though, but feel free to do as you please.

Re: 2/3rds of Registered Voters Think Obama's Policies Contributed to Economic Downt

From the rabidly-right-wing New York Times and CBS:

It is, of course, worth noting that a larger percentage of voters continue to blame Bush's policies as having contributed to the Economic Downturn. But, given that I am one of those voters, I'm not sure how much opportunity that gives to the Obama campaign to make headway on these numbers by trying to draw connections between Romney and Bush.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is why we are going to continue to hear all about how Romney is a Mean Old Rich Guy Who Wants To Hurt The Middle Class To Help The Rich. 'Cause running on a record like that is suicide.

Obama is sinking into the Carter abyss. They just don't get it that it's the economy, all other BS doesn't matter.

Everyone gets that. But the only way government can provide jobs is to hire people. And no one can fix the economy. That will cycle back eventually, and whoever is in power will take credit for it. It will be as much a lie as giving the blame has been.

With the state of the economy the way it is, I can't see the Democrats getting anything but what they got in 2010.

Re: 2/3rds of Registered Voters Think Obama's Policies Contributed to Economic Downt

I don't need it. The fact is, and it is a fact, no poll can answer this question. It is silly to use a poll to try and answer it. In no arena would a poll be acceptable as evidence.

Did your Ouiji Board tell you so?

Did your Ouiji Board tell you so?

No, being educated. Knowing what different information means. I've even opened a book. :coffeepap

So, opinion is fact unless otherwise proven? That's your stance?

*applause*
well done, Fox News, well done

While people still blame Republican policies for causing the downturn, Fox has done a great job at smudging the fact the Republicans have sandbagged every attempt to fix it and simultaneously blaming the Dems for not fixing things fast enough.

Since when is an article in the NY Times, which discusses a CBS / NY Times poll, considered FOX News? Is that just the running name for any and everything which goes against the liberal agenda?

Also, how exactly did the Republicans sandbag the attempt to fix the economy... when for the first 2 years the Dems had complete control of the legislature and executive branch? Even when the hands of power changed, the Republicans still went along with the president over his debt cieling raise... attempted to pass numerous bills to help stimulate the economy, which the president either turned down, or told the Senate he would turn it down so they never put it to a vote?

Democrats in Congress have not submitted a budget in 3 years, making only 1 of the President's budgets signed... Democrats and Republicans came together to approve the building of the Keystone Pipeline, the president refused to sign it... Republicans came up with a bill to extend the interest rate reduction on college loans (something the president said in his state of the union, that if he gave them a bill he'd sign it)... he then said he wouldnt support it if it passed the senate, so senate Democrats never took up the issue, and it died...

There's only so much BS you can make up until you realize, Dems were the ones who took power in 2007 when the economy started tanking... Dems were the ones who controlled the recovery process, which never really materialized... and Dems have done nothing but blame Bush and Republicans, without truly coming up with viable solutions to fix the economy...

Ultimately, it is still going to come down to $16T in debt ($5T of which came in this president's 1 term), 8% unemployment, and gas prices over $3.50/gal in most areas...
