Condy Rice for VP?

Can you say "mushroom cloud"? Her connection with Bush and the non-existant WMD's will destroy her. This is nothing but a trial balloon that will pop. Besides she has aleady said she is not interested. I want Rubio to take that ride into obliivon.

In theory the credibility of the physics prize could be questioned, but in reality it is a highly prestigious prize that no one really questions (unless they are trying to fling poop on Gore or Obama related to the peace prize).

Possibly true. But giving an award that had no basis in deed or fact, makes the "other" awards questionable, IMO.

Back on topic I like Dr. Rice for VP.

Do you have proof positive that Dr. Rice "knew for a fact" the WMDs did not exist? And how many people are really going to want to re-warm that old chestnut? The current issue that everyone is dealing with is jobs, economy, growth.

And . . . . . ?

The Nobel Peace Prize went to Barack Obama before he was elected POTUS. What had he done, one the world stage or anywhere, that the Nobel Committe found that qualified him for this prize?

Comparing the peace prize to the physics prize is like comparing apples to orangutans.

Yeah....there's really no comparison here honestly. It's like comparing the probowl vote (which in part amounts to a popularity contest) to the MVP award because both are technically sanctioned by the NFL. Or comparing someone being given the Medal of Freedom to someone getting a presidential fitness award because they're both from the Presidential level.

I had read he was known for the "present" vote.

I like Condi.. shes on mnay levels as good as it gets.. shes fair and honest, and I DO NOT agree with her 100% of the time, Id rather it be Rubio as I think he would be better and is rising

I like her for President, along with Gen. Powell. Which is why she won't be the pick. Romney doesn't want someone more qualified than he is.

Why'd you abandon Col. West, Travis?

I don't think she even wants the VP nomination, muchless the POTUS nomination or she would have thrown her hat into the ring.

Being "qualified" hasn't seem to stop quite a few from running for POTUS and winning.

The best managers don't and can't do everything. Great managers and CEOs surround themselves with the most competent people available with expert level knowledge and skills who get the job done.

Even though I think Dr. Rice would be a great VP, I also think liberals will have a field day if she is chosen by connecting her to Bush policies they love to belittle and berate.

She's said that she's not interested in any elective office. She has never run for anything in her life, including student council (her words).

She is pro-choice and pro affirmative action. Like you said as good as it gets.
Make sure you write Rubio and tell him that "Romney needs him".

Who made the dumb statement that this story has already disappeared? Hmm, just looked, it's still the headliner on drudge. How could you screw that one up?

Im fine with Pro Choice, as that will never change ( I just dont my tax money used), we no longer need affirmative action tho, its moot..

I would welcome it. The best move Romney could make would be Marco Rubio since it would both cinch Florida for the ticket as well as give them the opportunity to make inroads into the fast growing Hispanic vote. Rice would derail that possibiity so it sounds good to me.

Well I think that if Rubio did want the VP he would easily be the best choice except for the experience factor. Rubio would defiantly fire up a lot of people but Condi is probably the safer choice having the White House experience.

I don't think it's all that important who the VP choice is, but I recognize that others feel differently. Regarding Condi?...well, let's just say that the liberals will be hard pressed to use their usual smear tactics with her. They will really make themselves look disgusting and despicable when they make a big deal of whatever little inconsequential thing about her.

"That was such an obviously desperate trial balloon late yesterday, when Drudge posted that Romney was considering Condi for veep. It was designed to get some people to stop talking about Bain. It only semi-succeeded, but still. The problem, though, is simple: Condi is pro-choice. That's a dealbreaker right there. Right? Maybe not! Get a load of this:

Former Alaska Gov. and former vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin told Fox News' Greta Van Susteren on Thursday night that she believed Condoleezza Rice would be a "great vice president."...

...“I would certainly prefer a presidential and vice presidential candidate who had that respect for all innocent, precious, purposeful human life, and showed that respect by being a pro-life candidate," Palin said. "We need to remember, though, that it’s not the vice president that would legislate abortion, and that would be Congress’ role. And we'll keep that in mind.”

What a joke. What a primitive people, Palin and her -ites.

Do we think Palin would forgive baby-killing in any other political figure in the country? Highly doubtful. But Condi is black. This is their concept of race. Put a Negro up there just to mess with Obama and black peopl, to try and ignite some sense of conflict within the souls of black folk.

We saw, with Michael Steele, that they were willing to forgive a degree of buffoonery and little matters like thousands of dollars run up on an RNC card at an S & M strip club (an S & M strip club, the Republican Party; think about it). Let's get a black up there!

Now, Palin is willing to look past THE most important social-conservative issue of the last 30 years just to make a cynical racial move. She still finds the low road with uncanny consistency. Astonishing."

You act as though Palin didnt govern to the center on the abortion issue, she did, because those were the laws in Alaska.

Bolded: this is racism at its worst, both in insulting the intelligence of black voters and Condileeza Rice as a political figure. For the left to claim to be so enlightened that post was pretty blatant in its race baiting.

Um, the point is that Palin is throwing her support behind someone who runs counter to her biggest cause.

Pointing out that the GOP supports/pushes Black conservatives in a weak attempt to appear as inclusive.....is "racism"?

Try again.

No doubt they would.

When that selfish madman GW Bush was out of control, Colin Powell stood up (and lost his job) while Ms. Rice changed her tune and sang what she was told to.

Regardless, her intelligence shines through and a VP is supposed to support her Prez, right or wrong.

1,000 posts into this forum, I assume you might have figured that I'm a true independent. I bash both packs of crooks equally. This year, for the first time, I'll be voting 3rd party BUT I don't mind Romney and I'd be impressed if Condi were his choice.

Plus, I think she's HOT. Not that I'll be getting any but you know, just in case......
