That fund is invested in HSBC bank (a British financial institution), Hengdeli Holdings (a Hong Kong watch company), Novo Nordisk (a Danish drug company), Volkswagen (a German auto company), Rakuten (a Japanese shipping business), Richemont Cie Financiere (a Swiss luxury goods company), and many others.

To be clear, there is nothing in Debbie Wasserman Schultz's disclosure forms to suggest that the DNC chair invested in anything illegal. But it is clear that some of her holdings had investments overseas, in Swiss banks, foreign drug companies, the state bank of India, and many other overseas holdings.

A) There's a difference between hiding money in a Swiss Bank account and investing in a Swiss Bank.

Bull. Everyone had a hand in creating the mortgage bubble, everyone got greedy and wanted something for nothing.

My uncle built a business from the ground up. Started living in a trailer with a wife and a brand new daughter, no college education, just honest, hard, high quality blue collar labor. Now he's a multi-millionaire; he's provided jobs at various times to hundreds of people, helped hundreds of families. But because he makes more than you ever did he's greedy and evil :roll:. What an utter bunch of steaming crap. No wonder they need public employee unions to really work the lines for them - they are the only ones separated enough from economic reality to fall for this idiocy.

Personally I don't care if Romney used every conceivable loophole to minimize his tax liability. That's what we expect people to do, and it's why it's silly for people to suggest that Buffett should just pay more if he thinks that the rich (and not just Buffett) should be paying more.

My only concern is that he didn't go BEYOND the already very generous tax laws and/or use offshore accounts to hide improper payments.

I just don't get it. You have a concern, tall that to the IRS. Further, what proof do you have that he hid anything, you state Romney used offshore accounts to hide improper payments. If you know he did this, then he sure did not hide anything. So instead of all your loose and false rhetoric come up with some proof, or the subject is mute.

No, I obviously did NOT state that he used offshore accounts to hide improper payments. What I said is that I would like more information to confirm that he didn't.

My objection is that he hasn't provided sufficient information. It isn't a very strong rebuttal to suggest that I don't have sufficient information.

And the word is moot -- not mute.

All politicians campaign. All politicians have a platform. All politicians have influence. So why is Romney bad for having a Swiss bank account, but not the leader of the Democratic National Convention?

Are you referring to the information that Holder will not provide congress, and is held in contempt. I think your request is going unanswered, in spite of how much you want to dive into a persons tax records. That's the job of the IRS and I have not heard one request for documents, unlike congress issuing orders to Holder to turn over documents.
