When a past president comes out and rips the current one (in MSM no less) it’s not good…especially when he is of the same party! Interesting points:

Jimmy Carter, America's 39 th president, denounced the Obama administration for "clearly violating" 10 of the 30 articles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights,

"Instead of making the world safer, America's violation of international human rights abets our enemies and alienates our friends," Carter wrote

Carter criticized the current president for keeping the Guantanamo Bay detention center open…

While the author of the critique takes liberties as evidenced by:

Carter never mentioned Obama by name, he called out "our government" and "the highest authorities in Washington,"

It is clear what his message is.

Jimmy Carter Accuses U.S. of 'Widespread Abuse of Human Rights' - Yahoo! News

Any predictions on how long will it take for this to be ‘walked back’?
Is Jimmy Carter still a significant enough figure to warrant any attention to such ‘rants’?

When Jimmy Carter says something you don't like, the Teabrain far-righties will label him 'irrelevant' - That's what Fox News said about Carter.

But when Jimmy criticizes Obama, your RW propaganda cleaning house masters tell you to embrace Carter's words, you guys say "how high?"

It's hilarious watching you operate, so predictable. Not an original opinion or idea for miles.

Thank you for such an insightful analysis.

Hazlnut is provocative but the logic in the criticism is sound. Partisanship inexorably compels hypocrisy. Hypocrisy kills the legitimacy of an objection.

It's why most ethical philosophies assert the importance of maintaining good and honorable character.

I guess it's not newsworthy unless HE states it is. :rantoff:

Feel free to write in Carters name on your ballot if you like his views so much.

Just to be clear are you saying that using a comment like ‘Teabrain far-righties’ and an ad hominem like ‘It's hilarious watching you operate, so predictable. Not an original opinion or idea for miles’ are ‘ethical philosophies’?
