What will be Obama's main thrust during the campaign? [W:202/271]

Here you're wrong on both counts, slash and burn the government, is a liberal talking point. In reality it's not true, yes government spending has to be cut, and if you look that the Ryan plan it's cuts are very measured. Second, another liberal talking point, lower taxes for the rich, that is not what the Republicans want to do, they want tax reform, which means lowering the rates for everyone by elimination the deductions, thus the tax system remains revenue natural. Sorry but you have to get away from the liberal talking points and learn exactly what the Republicans really want to do.

You stated all you hear is, yeah all you hear is liberal talking points. They only tell you half truths, like lowing taxes for the rich they leave out eliminating deductions and they leave out lowering taxes for everyone.

When I look at Romney's web page, his positions are in writing.

Among other things, cut 5% on day one and capping at 2008 levels, spending cuts of 500b per year, repeal obamacare, reduce funding to arts, humanities, and public broadcasting, and reduce the federal workforce by 10%.

When I look at his tax plan, I fail to see anything on eliminating deductions. What I see is Make the 20% cut in marginal rates permanent, make capital gains rate permanent, repeal AMT, repeal corporate AMT, cut the corporate tax rate, and switch to a territorial tax system (only tax domestic income).

So by Mitt's website, we are slashing and burning government while reducing the tax burden on the wealthy. I would also expect that these are just the politically palatable ideas. When/if he gets in, I would actually expect this plan on steroids.
