Romney Will Win Big

Dems have been losing elections since obama was elected, people don't like this crap dem agenda much. I expect a landslide in Nov.

Which doesn't necessarily mean that people will like Romney's crap GOP agenda much either.

Us old guys remember 1980. It was around six months until November. The polls in the Liberal Lamestream Media had Reagan at around 38% and Carter up in the 60's. The media painted Reagan as dumb, a boob, out of touch, and the war monger likely to start a nuclear war.....

Some better than others, apparently....

As the 1980 presidential campaign swings into full stride, the American voter is displaying a show-me attitude as perhaps never before: wary, worried and waiting to see how the candidates perform. This unwontedly watchful and volatile electorate has already turned the race into a highly personal, potentially nasty, intensely competitive -- and, yes, exciting -- contest. The voters who could give Republican Challenger Ronald Reagan a lead as high as 28% over President Jimmy Carter in July and then snatch it all away in August can hardly be regarded as the rock- ribbed supporters of party and candidates that flourished in days of yore. And if the Reagan rise was giddy and the Carter comeback startling, the gadfly persistence of Independent John Anderson adds even more bite and confusion. He blithely dismisses Reagan as "irrelevant" -- a product of the '20s -- and accuses Carter of abandoning his autobiographical guery of Why Not the Best? for a current claim of "I'm not the worst." With such a tight contest now taking shape, Anderson and his appeal to the disgruntled of both parties could prove to be the decisive difference in a few key states and swing the election, most likely to Reagan.....

AllPolitics - Back in TIME for September 15, 1980

At least according to "lamestream" CNN in September of 1980

Your kidding right?

Most folks don't exactly have to be told that the Stimulus failed, that Obamacare is a disaster, and that the President hasn't turned things around. Having a real unemployment rate of around 15% will generally ensure that.

Sound familiar? Its the same old song and dance from the left.

Mark my words: Romney will win big because the people won't be duped by the media..... ..except for the liberals of course, who actually want to be duped.

They are duping themselves because they are stuck with someone who's a lousy president, and not even a good liberal. He can't even get his leftwing agenda through, and the realities of economics force him to not confiscate from the rich as his constituents want. Most liberals will wear three clothes pins on their noses when entering the voting booth this fall.

:hangs head in shame: I'm so embarrassed.... Evil Villain George Bush, and his sidekick, ATM, and their evil henchmen, a tsunami in Japan and unrest in the Middle East continue to confound our hero at every turn.

It's a good thing "most folks" don't make the determination as to whether the Stimulus "failed" or not.
Did the stimulus work? A review of the nine best studies on the subject "best" is always a subjective judgment but it is what the Post published

One survey of economists found that 80% of them Agreed or Strongly Agreed with the following statement:
Because of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, the U.S. unemployment rate was lower at the end of 2010 than it would have been without the stimulus bill.

I wonder why major insurance companies have said they will keep at least some provisions of the ACA even if the SCOTUS strikes it down

Oh yeah, that whole "it's only libruls who cry" .... IT'S BUSH'S FAULT! thing - Americans Still Blame Bush More Than Obama for Bad Economy About half of Republicans blame Bush

I don't think that Govenor Vaginal Probe is as popular as you might think. :peace

The Republican governor in Virginia is so popular that in their last election cycle Democrats ran ads with pictures of them with the governor, talking about how much they wanted to help pass his platform.

For Romney not to take advantage of that would require that he be much more blindingly stupid than he is - I think the polls demonstrate that McDonnel has not yet been deployed.

That would be a stupid reason to elect the Romney-Bot, it's easy to see that Reagan had a way with people, while the Romney has no real, believable empathy for the working class. He looks like that Muppet chracter, with someones hand up his ass. Plus Reagan come's to left of President Obama in many ways.
The Romney is heading over the cliff to the right, at least in his campaigning. We would be fools to vote for Willard. :doh :peace

Interesting, you compare a two term President Ronald Reagan with Romney who has yet to be president. I can understand you making that comparison one on one after Romney completed 8 yrs as president.

Does O really have empathy for anything beyond his own reelection???

As a member of the Catholic church, I'm embarrassed to be associated with someone who uses the term "lame stream media".

It's an ignorant Fox-Palin talking point.

Use it as your own peril.

Sorry, but a sizable portion who drank the Tea in 2010 now have the runs, big time. They won't make it out to the polls. Shame will prevent them from voting for Romney.

It will be the biggest landslide in U.S. history, with the lowest voter turn out. Obama WILL get 4 more years.

It's so descriptive!

Going into the election? Carter was the guy who had not rescued our hostages. That more than anything defined the election. Reagan was seen as a common sense, down home, likable guy.

Note that the economy was quite different in 1980 than it is now, and was not improving as it is now.

Are you kidding me? a million more people are out of work since Hussein Obama took office..........Inflation is running rampart...........

Iwas wondering do you think RR was a successful president his first term?

That's why I'd rather follow people who put their money where their mouth is rather than simple opinion polls: Sportsbet, Elections, 2012 US Presidential Election, Next President, Best Odds

Romney better start dancing faster if he wants to catch up to the line bets.

Got it. Florida don't need a corrupt governor to keep voter fraud out of Florida.

Go find me some voter fraud that requires that broad-stroke action. It's Katherine Harris all over again... except instead of going after predominantly black names he goes after predominantly Latino names. The Republican's Southern Strategy still lives on... its just changed it's shade of brown a little.

Why adopt policies that could garner support from minority voters when you can just mitigate them with illegal bull**** voter-roll purges just before each election. Why not? Your party's sheep will support your illegal behavior regardless because winning is far more important than actually leading.

That's what I thought.
