Obama struggles in Kentucky, Arkansas - Ginger Gibson - POLITICO.com

In Kentucky's democratic primary, 42% of the democrats chose "uncommitted" rather than cast a vote for Obama.

Keep in mind Kentucky has a closed primary, meaning republicans and independents cannot vote in the DEM primary.

Nearly half the democrats in kentucky think obama be sucky

I doubt he cares. He won the election without those two states last time and I doubt he felt there was any chance of turning them blue to begin with.

Kentucky and Arkansas are two states where the Democratic Party works different than most others. Democrats usually do very well in these states in statewide races. In Arkansas for example, Democrats have the governorship, one senate seat, and majorities in the state senate and house. In both these states the Democratic Party has more members than the Republicans. In Presidential elections both states are deep red, so it makes since that many Democrats would be opposed to Obama.
